Or are these lefties operating without moral authority? No disrespect, but that's a really dumb question :^)

Slate is liberal. But they are smart to distance themselves from this lunatic. Liberal is one thing; radical leftist is another.
The left had to walk away from the NARAL ad, now they're walking away from Sheehan.
Here's what dems have to understand -- it's not 1965. There is no antiwar movement.
And it's not 1985, when all media's liberal, and Republicans are happy to be on CSPAN at midnight.
Dems aren't cutting edge, they're yesterday.

No it's not an insult to Lyndon La Rouche. You are probably too young to remember when he linked the Queen of England to the Atlanta child murders. No, I remember that well. But comapring anyone to Cindy Sheehan is pretty insulting.

If Slate and Hitchens turn on you. You must be wrapped so tight your brains are leaking out your ears.. True in this case.. They both actually support other Moonbats.. just as bizaar.. however a little more discrete.. like Teddy Kennedy, Bwaany Fwank, Cornel West, Chuckie Shumer, Chomsky, Ramsey Clarke and a long list of others..

It would NOT be awesome for President Bush to meet with this or any other looney. If he did the looneys would be lining up to meet with him and he has better things to do. BTW, 1 1/2 years is not a long time when you are grieving for a lost child, but it is something that should be done privately and not in the glare of the media. Cindy Sheehan is wrong on all counts.

Um... "anti-Zionism", which is really just a euphemism for anti-Semitism, has been at the core of the left-wing "pacifist" (another euphemism, which translates into English roughly as "surrenderist") movement for quite some time now. What do you call a Zionist who kills an Orthodox Jew who doesn't believe in Zionism?

I call him a traitor to God, who has commanded him not to murder.

Thanks for the update summer. I had posted one too at #112, LOL. Have you seen this? PRO-WAR bikers numbering around 60 or 70 paraded past Camp Casey Saturday morning in favor of President Bush and supporting troops. Iconoclast Photo By Michael Harvey
More photos here from Camp Crazy. http://198.65.14.85/News/2005/31-40/33news20.htm> (PS, if anyone can give me the code for hotlinking a site when also posting a pic, I'd appreciate it.)

Thanks for the ping. I had not seen that photo before.
Below is a link to Cindy's latest rant, not posted on FR as far as I can tell - and, I have decided not to post any more articles by her. Cindy is really screaming now, and then people scream back at her, and, then, so what. A lot of screaming. It's a headache for me and others.
She has lost her son who served with honor in my view, her husband left her for whatever reasons, her kids want her home, and she has a mom who just had a stroke. In my view, she has some personal matters she should be attending to right now, instead of screaming like this rant below.
On the other hand, I am also sympathetic to those who do or say some deranged things while grieivng.
Yet, still, she does not have a right to continuously inflict hurt or harm upon others who may be grieving for their losses in this war, by her thoughtless rants and by insisting their deaths did not matter.
Their deaths matter. Their losses are tremendous. She should not belittle them. She is wrong to do that, and that's what she sounds like to me.
I don't like war any more than she does. What is the left's plan to end terrorism and bring about the peace? No one from the left ever mentions anything about that.
GW is trying his best, and so are our armed forces. God bless them all.
Here is her latest rant.

Well, I know he wouldn't actually meet with her, but I would like to see it happen. She's so far off the deep end that she doesn't even make sense. Also, I never implied that A year and a half is ample time to grieve for the loss of any loved one, just that the media sort of hides the time frame from people, just as they hide the fact that she already met with him.

BTW, I hope you understood that my comment in post #26 was aimed at Hitchens, not at you. Sorry that I didn't make that clear.
