Probably the latter. But what you're saying is truly a valid question. If your hate for the military runs deep...very, very deep, what do you do when your son joins the military...worse, joins again?

So let me propose a clarfcation definition:

The "chickenhawk" thing is tiresome but also is a problem for them. What is Hillary Clinton? She voted for the war. Her husband sent troops to Kosovo. She was not in the military and Chelsea is not in the military. Oh yea, She is a Democrat so gets a pass. Nevermind.
The Iraqi "insurgents" are the same Islamo Facists that attacked the WTC. Why don't you just hold up a "Kill Me" sign?
Let me state 1 thing before any possible flames:
1. The left is completely wrong in their position on the war. I think they do wish harm to the troops and to the U.S.
That said, there is a little something that gnaws at me in that few, (Liddy, North, ect...), of the rights' spokespersons have any military experience. I know there is no way the Bush twins could serve. Nor do I want them to. But.....since serving your country in the military IS the most noble of deeds, why did not more service?
I do take issue with M. Gallagher and his "Army." I went to his webpage and there he was in some stupid uniform. I know he has raised so much money for the families of those in the service, more than I will ever do. But it has the feel of it being all about a promotion. Did he not raise his boys in a household where they would almost feel ashamed about not serving. Even as cooks in the Air Force.
I may come over looking like a snob, but some deeds are more noble than others. I will never be the man that my dad or brother are, no matter how successful I may become, Lord willin, because I never faced combat, like they did. But I can proudly say that I put my a$$ in a tank for two years and served in something greater than myself.
