Mexican Army Incursions Into The United StatesThe Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus ^

Incursions
During his travels along the border, Rep. Tancredo learned that the Mexican Army and Law Enforcement Agencies routinely make "incursions" into the U.S. A total of 23 were confirmed by the U.S. government in 2001, and there have been over 115 since 1996. The purpose of these incursions is not totally understood, but U.S. officials have speculated that they are designed to help facilitate the flow of illegal drugs into America, either by creating a diversion or by providing cover for the traffickers. When Rep. Tancredo sent a letter to the Mexican government, the Embassy in Washington, DC sent a curt response to his inquiry, implying that the troops were merely getting lost. Not a single U.S. law enforcement agent on the ground in the southwest has agreed with that explanation. Rep. Tancredos office has begun documenting new incursions as they take place. Most recently, two disturbing incursions have taken place. On May 17th, a Mexican Army unit led an incursion near Ajo, Arizona that ended with a shot being fired at a Border Patrol Agent. The agent was not hurt, but had two of his vehicles windows shot out. On June 14th, the Mexican Army opened fire (with high-powered .308 rifles) on a vehicle with 20 people packed into it. Six of the passengers were injured, two critically. Despite Rep. Tancredos efforts to draw attention to them, each incident received only spotty coverage. You can read the accounts of each incident by following these links: May 17th Incursion: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020513-27549872.htm http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020523-865103.htm June 14th Incursion: http://www.washtimes.com/national/20020615-91529269.htm The issue of incursions needs to be confronted by the U.S. government before a catastrophic incident involving the loss of life occurs. If you have specific information about an incursion by Mexican military or law enforcement, please contact Rep. Tancredos office at (202) 225-7882 or tom.tancredo@mail.house.gov. You will remain anonymous. |

F 'em if they don't like it. Why do we treat this cesspit as if it's a legitimate nation?

What a cesspool that "mexico" is. You are absolutely correct. The Mexican leaders think that they can just run over us. The American people are getting fed up with the rhetoric that is coming out of Washington by not addressing the main issue of illegal immigration. It is time to act and the "Minuteman" are just the beginning.

Mexicos acting consul in Del Rio called a crossing of the Rio Grande earlier this week by two Val Verde County Sheriffs Office investigators illegal and unacceptable.
Said consul can kiss my Texan butt.
Remember the Alamo!

The ghosts of long dead Texas Rangers and their Captains are smiling tonight.
Individuals and small companies used to cross the Rio Grande to retrieve stolen cattle all the time, fighting off bandits as they rode.

It certainly seems to me that we should oblige Senor Valdes, and build a border wall. We wouldn't want this to happen again...

"Valdés said he would also like to be at the forefront of a push to make the Mexican consulate in Del Rio more relevant for law enforcement authorities on both sidesI think it would be perfectly relevant to arrest the mexican consulate and entire staff for handing out bogus "consular" i.d. so their illegals can apply for US goodies.

Ok, no problem. We won't enter Mexico to chase criminals anymore. However, next time one of your citizens enters our country illegally we will just consider it to be an Act Of War and respond accordingly.

For a country who openly supports and encourages it's citizens to break OUR laws, they sure get pi$$y when we flout theirs, even if it was for good reason, like recovering stolen property. Our guys even left immediatley, and didn't get on the Mexican gov't. dole.

The Rio Grande flows slow and shallow by the vegas (meadows) unless water is being released from the lake for irrigation. Cane breaks line the south side of thr river and provide excellent hiding places year around. During a low water period, the water probably isn't waist deep.

Big Time Double standard. They get to invade us, as is their constant habit, and we can do nothing? Please.
In the future, America needs a President that invades Mexico, permanently cripples its military, and sets up a permanent "protectorate" which polices and regulates all their internal affairs 24/7, 365. To pay for, and profit from, "the boot" placed upon their broken neck, we extract any and all resources from their country and declare any and all international laws to be non-binding. [forcefully repudiate any and all applicable international law]. Same deal with Cuba, FYI.
Additionally, we need a "buffer zone"/DMZ, with overlapping, interlocking checkpoints and fields of fire, 'just in case' one or two or three individuals (at best) are able to make it through.
However, it would be more cost effective to have a massive "Panama Canal" style canal on a hitherto historically unforseen [and, as yet] unattempted scale. I am thinking about ten or twenty miles wide at the bare minimum. It would be one hell of an engineering project!
The writing has been on the wall for a very, very long time: Mexico needs to be destroyed, occupied and held down on a permanent basis. While we're at it, as a bonus, we take their oil fields and provide our own security for all the off shore oil rigs. Screw their so-called special ops guys to protect the rigs.
Mexico is not a country, it is just another undying problem/cancer in the body politic of the entire planet Earth. They are very, very lucky that we are so liberal, "left wing", "globalist" and "politically correct" in our world view that in all probability we will never have the balls to "take them out" for good and crush them, as the situation clearly demands.
I find it quite interesting that Democrats are finally becoming aware of this significant problem, although they have been perpetrators ("perps") in this ongoing significant criminal problem. (NOTE: all drug trade must be shut down. All drug shipments must be interdicted. Goal: 100% interdiction)
Mexico is a disease, not a country. Mexico delenda est.
POTUS needs to take drastic military action, ex post haste.
If overlapping agencies and unspecified "efforts" can be combined to achieve "economies of scale" I have zero problem with that either. The border war and the war on drugs and WOT/GWOT can definitely be combined into one single joint operation, IMHO.
