UNLV still has the "Running Rebel". You know what a "Rebel" is??? Its a Confederate Soldier!!!! For some strange reason, the politically correct Nazi's have made no inroads in getting rid of our mascot. There isn't any sympathy in Las Vegas for a new softer, kinder, friendlier mascot so the ACLU will probably just have to sue us.

I'm crushed. I graduated from NMSU and to see them go so PC makes me sick. I wonder how many of the students support this. NMSU was always a good school without the real strong lefty influence (it was there, but it was balanced by students who had a lot of common sense). This is a sad day. I hope the cowboys with the rifles in the back window drive around campus with the old Pistol Pete in a position of honor.
