"'Only president who balanced the budget in the last 40 years: Bill Clinton""

actually not true. Nixon had a balanced budget in 1969.

WE CAN DO BETTER: why couldnt that have thought up that brilliant slogan last year???

Yes, and how did he do it, Dean you fool? By dessimating the very intel system and military that was ill-prepared for Iraq (IMHO)...and don't for too Dean that....

** BILL CLINTON IS AN IMPEACHED CRIMINAL ** That is his real credential. Tell us how good the Dems are Dean -- the beautiful track record of their Presidents --- Clinton and Carter -- nice try you maggot.

I didn't see this, but from the quotes posted here I believe you are correct. Dean has no doubt been meeting with media coaches and focus groups. His appearance on Face the Nation (lowest watched of the 5 Sunday shows) could be a test appearance, to see if he flubs anything.

We can't count on them being nutty and having no message forever. Best to be vigilant.

"Before we begin the interview, we at CBS would like to note that Democrat party operatives have implanted electrodes onto our guest and connected him to a high voltage generator to provide positive reinforcement to empower him to reach out to the many politically moderate members of our audience".

"I'm not even going to get into that. I'll tell you why:

"Because we were caught lying, red-handed; and our regular compliment of mainstream media buttboys and vassals couldn't get us out of this one, for a change."

He'd say. If he weren't actually a lying sack, I mean. :)

Chairman Howard Dean thoughtfully laid out the Democratic Party's positive agenda for America in four simple words: we can do better.

That's a thoughtful, positive agenda? They can do better than whom, Bush and the Republicans? That's positive? They're realling saying that the Republicans are doing poorly.

This is just like when Nancy Pelosi reacted to American soldiers pulling down the statue of Saddam by saying, "We could have brought down that statue cheaper."

I will go to bed this evening with a prayer in my mind, asking God that Howard Dean remains the foreseeable voice of the Democrat party.

Check out this crazy statement by Howard Dean to the College Democrats of America convention...

***Gov. Dean told the College Democrats of America convention in Washington: "The president and his right-wing Supreme Court think it is OK to have the government take your house if they feel like putting a hotel where your house is."***

Truly an amazing thing to say given that SCOTUS's conservatives dissented in the Kelo case.

The question is, what is a reasonable way to get out?

What's your call on LBJ's War on Poverty? That has been running longer than the American Revolution.
