not to justify the kid or the cops. but there is the fact that, altho i don't engage in illegal activity, someone could "report me" and cops, knowing i have guns, would come in the same way. if i hear the door get smashed in, i'm going for a gun, and i may have a gun in hand before a cop identifies himself. now, if i'm in the act of putting it down, is the cop ok to shoot me just because he sees that gun?
if the cops identified properly and gave him a chance to disarm and he didn't- good cops, glad they came thru safe. if not, if they didn't do it right-sue the crap outta them.
i wasn't there so i don't know. but i want to know what really happened.

The SWAT team knocked on Diotaiuto's door and "announc[ed] their presence" before smashing in his door about 6:15 a.m. They found Diotaiuto in his living room and ordered him to "freeze" and get on the ground.Instead, Voss said, Diotaiuto fled to his bedroom and "armed himself" with a loaded handgun. Voss said it is unclear whether Diotaiuto pointed the gun at officers.
I doubt you would have responded in this way.

Well, considering he was a drug dealer felon, yep he gave up his rights.
Was his choice entirely to be involved in this, and he paid.

I think one lesson here is, this guy should have only sold pot to his friends, and not to undercover narcotics officers.

I'm an anarchist because I don't swallow the "official" story hook line and sinker? Glad you've identified yourself as a gullible sheep. It clears the air.

you need to resign from your job yesterday.Anyone with your kill them all let god sort em out mindset does not deserve the honor of gun ownership or of having a badge.
If you think it is right to break in to a house at 4 am covered from head to toe in black so no one can tell who you are do you also agree with your fellow jbts that assest forfiture is a noble tool to use against americans? you know that little thing where any cop at anytime can deside that any money you carry is to much so they can just steal it and say hey it must be drug related and keep ot for themselves without ever havingto prove it came from drug related activity.

He wasn't served anything. They kicked in his door a 6:15 AM.
Of course, that doesn't matter to you WoDdies. The more blood the better right?

That may be a decent strategy if your gun isn't in the back bedroom.

In the WOT and the WOD, we have to break a few eggs for the meal.
Sometimes a lot of eggs.. Oh well. Don't be into drugs or be a terrorist. Easy enough.

as usual the media is cutting out the part of the story which this "victim" was probably either on probation OR had such a long record that a mandatory jail sentence was in the works.
It is very hard to have sympathy with regards to sunrise FL where whole families are involved in the drug trade.

2 oz. is a good amount but within a reasonable range to be a one-person supply.

2 ounces is a LOT of pot. A dealable quantity, even if he didn't have his baggies and scale out. They should've shot him 20 more times, huh? /sarc

God forbid we give sworn police officers the benefit of the doubt. To you the whole lot of them must be corrupt. What a moron!

This person chose the wrong path of action and he lost and thank God he did because it could be a couple brothers being put to rest with taps playing in the background. Nuff said! Typical cop attitude...Jar head...
