Yeah there's still a long way to go. Blackwell is at around 36% in the polls. 36% in the polls, leading by about 15%, with 9 months to go, is nothing and can change in a moment.
Petro will put up a tough fight. He'll lead in fundraising and has an excellent reputation as State Auditor and AG. He's very likeable with a reputation for competency and honesty. He's no Blackwell, though he's a lot better than Sweaty Betty.
We need to do our best to make sure he kicks a** in the primaries. If the party nominates another RINO I think a lot of us will stay home in November. Betty Montgomery, Jim Petro, etc. are cut from the same stale cloth as Gov. Daft. Personally, I am very tired of having to hold my nose in the voting booth.
It's becoming more obvious that Montgomery won't win. I wouldn't be surprised if she dropped out of the race.
How do you know when a liberal who claims to support the Second Amendment is lying?
His/Her lips are moving.
I think Blackwell is going to encounter a problem. Speculation is increasing that either Montgomery or Petro may drop out of the race. A one-on-one race for Blackwell is much tougher. On the issues, Petro is closer to Blackwell than Montgomery is. He has over $3 million, but according to public polls, he is slumping. Montgomery is still doing decent in polling, but her last fundraising report came in pretty flat. She does still have around $1.5 million.
Republicans better hope Mayor Manhood wins the Democrat primary. Strickland is tough. With Betty's record, in a matchup between her and Strickland, gun owners will go for Strickland. With that, you can kiss some Republican-leaning counties good bye.
