I suppose this means that Mr. Souter has "grown" in his present job. As far as I'm concerned, this man cannot be hammered enough. Mr. Douglas was my congressman for one term before getting beat out for the job by that little weasel, Dick Swett.

The constitution is a living, breathing (and very flexible) guideline that should not be taken seriously when it comes to making law from the bench.

"Now we have two congressmen just slightly better then Dick Swett, and a governor who is just like him. We need to defeat Lynch, Bradley, and that bald guy."
Good luck getting any of them out. I certainly would like to see a real non-RINO run against the little guy in my district. He's about as effective as a shower with no soap and water.

Oh man this is a big smackdown from a former colleague on the NH Supreme Court. Souter getting what he so richly deserves.
And I know the argument he would use here. Like his decision in Kelo, it is garbage.

I'm sorry, but Dick Swett sounds like something you'd need a medicated powder of some type to deal with.

Geez, I've seen some unfortunate names in my time, but this is right up there in the top ten. "Dick Swett" Where are Beavis and Butthead when ya need 'em?

His wife is the lovely and gracious Katrina Lantos Swett, daughter of Tom Lantos, D-California. They have a whole raft of kids with names like "Kismet".

Is it possible that some radical leftists will masquerade as conservatives for their entire judicial careers at the relatively unimportant state levels just so they can position themselves to be Republican SCOTUS nominees?
