It's not just your opinion...look how they have accomodated the Chicomms with the Chinese version of google, which basically filters any websites for democracy and freedom.\
Google has a lot of explaining to do...IMHO.

Most of the world is pretty low resolution, Canberra is visible but Alice Springs is too blurred to make out anything specific.

...the secret US spy base at Pine Gap, outside Alice Springs... Well, I guess it's not so secret now, is it?

That's scary, isn't it. I don't live too far away from San Onofre, and I know they'd love to hit it. But our guys are pretty sharp.

It's not up to date at all - it's a 1960s reactor. The replacement reactor OPAL is under construction at the moment, and due to come online over the next 18 months.

The google satellite photos of Washington DC are blurred over the White House and the Capital Building, but a number of other potential targets aren't distorted, which is just stupid.

People in the surrounding areas refer to it as the garbage bin (trash can)

Thanks for the update. I guess they decided that the earthquake fault was of no concern. Or did they re-locate?

I'm not too far away myself.
I've spent many an hour surfing the beaches near there, and have camped at the park countless times.

It's basically on the same site.
The fault line in question hasn't been significantly active for at least 5 million years, probably more like 13 million years. It's not an active fault by any stretch of the imagination, and so the judgement is that Lucas Heights is no more dangerous in terms of earthquake risk than anywhere else - so they decided it didn't matter.
