According to Krauthammer's commentary, Scowcroft is in a different catagory of foreign policy thinking, he is like Bush 41, ----
Basically Scowcroft is the guy who convinced Bush 1 to end Gulf War 1. He is an ass clown for the "realists" view in American Foreign policy. These are the guys who run around arguing that we prop up every thug and murder in the 3rd world to keep the "Wogs" in line for us. The only problem for this school is that approach doesn't solve any of the underlying causes just puts them off until something like 9-11 happens. Scowcroft is just pissed because Bush 2 is making sure his, (Scowcroft's) footnote in American History will be listed under "Major Foreign Policy blunders"

Did you read that commentary by Krauthammer here on FR last night?
I haven't found the link yet, just wondering if you read it--some of the verbiage you just used in your last post to me, sounded just like his commentary...

Despite pleading guilty in April to destroying top secret terrorism documents related to the 9/11 investigation, the former Clinton administration national security advisor was tapped to head up the CFR panel along with former Bush 41 National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft
Is this some type of joke? The Republican controlled congress allowed him to head an advisory panel. What The F##K
To: MNJohnnie
Exactly! And on top of that this buffoon would have been in a Kerry cabinet!
I don't even want to think about where we'd be if it wasn't for W and his team.

I wouldn't laugh too hard at the Council of Foreign Relations...this group wants to make the USA, Canada, and Mexico, one huge country with NO borders except the coastlines...and the US spreading it's money north and south to EQUAL things out between the three....
These people are serious about this...they think that we would have a better chance of fighting our enemies if we only had to defend the coastlines and didn't HAVE TO WORRY about the Mexican and Canadian borders...of course we have to subsidize them...but they get to keep their gay marriage, Spanish language, french language, drug gangs..
all of those of course they would "share" with us!

THE CFR is a PRIVATE organization, not a Govt agency. This is just a think tank "hit piece" being spewed out to generate headlines for the Hate Bush crowd.
