It was a sad day when the military bought into paper-path generals. Colin Powell comes to mind, as do ALL the women generals.

She was removed from that job and has, NATURALLY, filed a sexual and racial discrimiation suit against the Army.

She was in command of where I worked in Iraq.

She was the C-2 at CJTF-7 until Brig. Gen Defritas replaced her.

The politics and the politicos (aka her aides) were astounding.

Welcome to the new ARMY..I am so in awe of those who continue to serve despite the destruction of basic military standards..The recent attempts at court marshall of combat leaders killing the enemy is just plain wrong and seems we have an enemy within who goes after the combat leaders we used to admire.

Really though, the problem was with mostly the reservist officers from III Corps. The moments the XVIII Airborne Corps or before the V Corps left, it wasn't NEARLY as bad or intolerable.

well this generally happens to us when we have a prolonged time of peace.

It happened early in WW2 and the Civil Wars exspecially....


I did see quite a few younger officers learn how to lead. A few of them were in MI, more in the MPs and every once in a while I would run across a couple infantry types....
