He is a prominent leader of the opposition!
He has been fighting the regime since late 90s.

FYI 52 kg is about 114 pounds. Unfortunately they don't say how tall he is or how much he weighed in at before hand.
At least some of the press are covering this. I guess if it doesn't relate to America sucking it's not going to get that much air time.

The Mullah regime must be destroyed, or a large part of humanity will be destroyed.

So are the Iranian people going to just let him die? Why don't they rise up? What are they waiting for?

They need weapons, Monday. Large quantities of weapons. They already have the will and the spirit.
God Bless Ganji.

This sh*t would be over and Iran would be free if only for weapons. Breaks my heart.

I have read and heard from some people that the Persians do not want the US to get involved with any effort at overthrowing the Mullahs. Fine, I understand this. An outright invasion by the US would be a huge mistake and I have always thought so.
BUT
Just for argument sake this question:
If the Iranians were able to mount some type of offensive against the Mullahs and the military ( I have no doubt some Iranian military units would side with the opposition) would the opposition welcome US air support. ( strafing runs, bombing selected targets etc)
