It's the difference between character and class. Class is style, flair, status, a superficial construct while character is one's nature, constitution, who you really are.

These people need to learn how to write a coherent story.
You're probably right about the election itself, but they did have to approve her as their nominee. Ugh, I can't stand that woman.
