Glad to see *someone* has his/her head on straight across the pond! Let's hope the public reads this and clamors for these reforms. Perhaps this will mark a turning point for Britain to become again the great country that she once was.
Islamic radicalism is really just a symptom of westernization. The Islamics have come to the west, rejected it and adopted the same pattern of rejection as the left-wing anarchists who kicked off the anti-west project back in Russia and elsewhere at the beginning of the last century.
Look at all the people who are the suicide bombers. Many of them are western and well educated. Mohammed Atta was an engineering student. Osama's right hand man was a Surgeon! Pol Pot went to technical school in Paris for crying out loud.
Read "the revolutionary catechism", written in the 1850s in Russia and tell me it doesn't read exactly like something that came out of the mouth of Bin Laden.

The enemy is in our culture. It is the violent loathing of the west and all that it has accomplished that comes out of the mouths of the radicals in academia and the other anarchists. These are the ones who have built the template for the terrorists.
Considering that around 50% of British Muslims say that Islam is incompatible with the values of British democracy, that'll be a tough chore.

I've been so worried about Britain. I never miss the opportunity to watch the History Channel when a documentary about their rich and brave past. I would watch those shows and wonder what the hell happened to them to throw away their legacy. I pray they take back their country.
First and most important step:
Publically acknowledge that Islamism is equal to Nazism and Communism...dangerous and destructive political ideologies that are totally incompatible with a free society.
As long as it is ignorantly and foolishly tolerated as 'religious expression' more innocents will die horrible deaths at the hands of terrorists.

Islamism is deadlier than Nazism and Communism. They don't have the guts to aggressively go after an actual professional military force; they target unarmed civilians.

We did not tolerate Nazism or Communism in western society.

Excellent article. I appreciate how England might have to move out of some international organizations to properly protect herself. Good going, and may Britons take these propositions seriously, forgo their vacations, and enact many of them.
