As a Peanuts fanatic in my youth, I can tell you: Both Peppermint Patty and Marcie had a crush on Charlie Brown. It was "Chuck" that wasn't interested. He was fixated on The Little Red-Haired Girl.
IMHO, Peanuts jumped in the water and was dragged behind a motorboat on skis when Charles Schulz created the first Peanuts special I didn't like, It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown, in which we finally see and he gets to kiss TLRHG. The shark was jumped with room to spare when Schulz went out of his flippin' mind and wrote It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown, which had Snoopy dancing in a tattered shirt like Marine Jahan in Flashdance.
I will apply the same logic I do when people start sticking a rainbow flagpole in the crypts of Abraham Lincoln, Alexander Hamilton, Eleanor Roosevelt, and other Washington legends, and claim them as a homosexual; for the sake of argument, let's say it's true. What does this prove? That if you are a homosexual, the sky's the limit for what you can accomplish...as long as you stay in the closet.

Well, that does it. I study French and Latin, swim on the school team, participate in the choir and the drama, and had a lead in my school's musical. I guess I'm a flaming homosexual...
Oh wait, I have a girlfriend... and I wrote an 8 page paper condemning gay marriage, and homosexuality in general... and I am finalizing the paperwork to apply for the rank of Eagle Scout in the BSA... and I'm very active in the LDS church, which also condemns homosexuality in no uncertain terms... I'm a conservative right-winger too... I hate the media.
Anyone who knows Jane Roberts knows that she would not be a "beard" for anyone.
I predicted on the day of his nomination that the left would go after the adoption with some angle. Of course, I was thinking more on the "why not adopt American children?" angle.
I guess this is payback for all the Hillary lesbian jokes and cartoons.
