As far as Karl Rove's conduct in the Plame/Wilson affair, there is no scandal. He didn't come close to committing a crime, nor even an ethical infraction. This is SO cute. David thinks the facts matter.....

I hope Fitzgerald has an armored vehicle and sleeps in a fortress.
It would be a nightmare if something "happened" to him.
This world has sunk to the the level where nothing surprises me anymore.
I predict Fitz will be a rising star in the political world after all this shakes out and we take our country back.
New day dawning.

but I kind of miss the DSM rants. Ahh, those were the days. "This is it! Impeachment is just around the corner." "this is PROOF POSITIVE that Bush knowingly lied!" "July 18(?). The Day Everything Will Change"
The heady fragrance of paranoid lunacy.
*sigh* Such wonderful memories....

As much as I love, and learn, from Rush his brother is basically a walking Republican talking point or rehashed facts we already know. Nothing personal against him but does anyone ever learn anything new from David Limbaugh?

Remember the days of the "Ohio Recount"? Right after the election, the entire DUmp was 100% sure that the election would be overturned. They even got Boxer and Conyers to contest the election.

This is a homerun for David. It may be the most well-reasoned article I've read on the subject.

I think Bush should publicly fire Rove and then the next day rehire him. After all there is no reason not to hire him, he even has a security clearance.

Doesn't Wilson live hig on the hog? Higher than one would expect?
But the cockeyed slant on this non-story is masking the real story here, which is not just that Joe Wilson was caught red-handed lying about his wife recommending him and the nature of his actual findings. The real story is the treachery of Wilson in distorting his findings for political purposes to the detriment of our national security.

distorting his findings for political purposes to the detriment of our national security.Yep. It doesn't take 2 years to find out who talked to a few reporters. Just the idea that Wilson went to Niger at all should get people questioning his motives.

Doesn't Wilson live hig on the hog? Higher than one would expect? Lives in a ritzy section of D.C., drives a Jag convertible and is doubtless a consumer of fine French wine.
Retired ambassador, who never rose above third rate posts, and a civil servant wife. I'm sure they do O.K. -- but their style does seem a tad excessive.
Then, of course, there is additional income to be derived from Joseph C. Wilson Enterprises -- which brokers deals in third world countries. And which appears to be backed by Saudi interests...

Right now, they've put a desk jockey's authority over that of a U.S. President. They say Bush is in deep trouble for "pi$$ing" on the CIA! Why THIS TIME they're REALLY going to get him.
