We'd better just stick with JDAMs.

What simply amazes me is the short sightedness that seems to have infected this forum.
I have to agree. If there are constitutionalists ever, on this forum, they are far and inbetween and not very well informed at all.
Did you know, there is a very conservative group preparing to move thousands of it's members to South Carolina and take over the state politically from the ground up, for conservatism and if bad goes to worse in the nation they plan to secede from the union. They have a long term plan layed out over the next 20 years. Looks serious. Will get their webb sight if you are interested.

Your thoughtful post raises the age old question: What can one do when government goes bad?
Americans HAD the 2nd Amendment, along with the rest of the Constitution but seem to have frittered it away. But the reality is that little revolution of any kind occurred in America after the Shea's Rebellion period.
American's learned that with the soap box (now evolved to the Internet) and the ballot box, there was no need to resort to the cartridge box.
If America wants something enough, they install politicians and get it. If not, those with the motivation get what they want. Motive and money are what decide.
As a closing note, a simple propane bottle or even a bit of gasoline propelled by a compressed gas device (easily made with a CO2 fire extinguisher) can do far more damage than a mere rifle.
And IED's can be made easily if one wants to cause industrial size suffering. But that seems to have been the way of the Other - not the way of America.
Somehow I can't see America reducing itsself to Iraq. We just vote the bast*rds out. It is cheaper, doesn't damage the infrastructure, and it is nicer to think of an old pol or an old 'crat having to work for a living.

Look at how many people die from these other nonlethal weapons. Pepper spray, rubber bullets, tasers and other shock devices have all killed much more than was predicted. And once the cops have them, you will have some cops using them at any provocation or challenge to their authority, as currently happens with pepper spray.
I can see the tree huggers getting behind a move to ban use by police in the US, since a very likely use would be against anti-loggers who set up living arrangements in trees

Overt violence is not only unattractive, it is ineffective.
To remove the thugs from our own government, or neutralize them, we must first know who they are, and then know how to apply pressure to them: smear them, make them outcast, break their marriages with rumors and falsified evidence of affairs - whatever it takes.
But a gun is a self-defence weapon for dire circumstances. Power does not come out of the barrel of a gun. Power comes from making our enemies lives unlivable, and that does not require violence.

A klystron from a $50 microwave oven, a power inverter, and a motorcycle battery would make an effective imitation of this weapon. Of course, it would not be as "safe" for the target, but, hey, to make omlets you must break eggs.

This is the web site I spoke of. Interesting concept, but I don't think they will have enough time to stop the NWO...
