True, as a Supreme, she does not have to look upstream to anyone other than God and her conscience. The other Supremes are colleagues, not authorities.

When Clement was a judge in Louisiana she sentence a Mr. Brown (father of Campbell Brown - journalist to 6 months in prison.
Clement was also a graduate of Holy Cross in La.
I wasn't dumping on Bush. I didn't say a thing bad about Bush. I was just commenting on commentary on Clement. This is all speculation anyway.
Edith Clements would have been a good choice, though John Roberts is a good one, too.
