I know you believe you know it all, but you really do not understand how stupid you sound? Perhaps this type of thinking that allows WWI, WWII, the Cold war, and the war in Bosnia and Kosovo to take place?

I know you think you understand this topic, but this is just so pathetic. When you wrote, "Especially the fact that people were tortured to death is unbearable." Where do you get this garbage?

Eh?
I will try to find the Abu Ghraib photos of dead Iraqis in transparent body bags and triumphant USA guards sitting close to them. Yup - perhaps you will claim that the Iraq soldiers died of natural causes, or committed suicide. Unlikely to the highest degree, but not impossible. Even then it would be morally criminal to sit next to them, with a broad smile.
I have a pretty good memory and an IQ of 150. So don't try to implicate that everything I said is wrong.
I see folks like Charles Graner and Lynndie England as poor victims of inhuman political orders. Undereducated people who have to pay for errors made in the highest ranks. There has been much, much criticism by top US military folk towards the strategy of Rumsfeld and his people. It's in the open, outh there, and I can't be bothered to look it up now. Sorry for that.
However, see my new thread on the current shift in the UK mood about the War On Iraq.
Meanwhile, the death toll keeps rising by the day.
Respect, Pat.

My point is that you have your opinion, based on what you have read, and colored by your belief system which filters out that which doesn't support it. As do most people, to varying degrees.

Some peoples' biases are more egregious than others, and therefore filter out more of that which doesn't support said bias. Some people have "news sources" which have greater degrees of lies.

Some people have more of desire to know the truth, than others.

Saddam was evil, and needed to be killed and his regime destroyed. It's a shame it didn't happen sooner. I agree, the US is far from perfect. Everything and everyone in this world has defects. But to compare whatever happened at Abu Graib and Guantanamo with Saddam's cruelty and claim that they are morally equivalent is not only bad thinking, it's immoral thinking.

Final note: Pacifism promotes evil.

You better go back to sorting letters rather than publish your leftist dribble.
