Dragunov uses a 7.62mm x 54 round. It is bigger than the 7.62x51 NATO round.

yep sort of like the difference between a 308 and a 30/06...

the caliber of the bullet is 7.62.
54 is the length of the entire round.

nice to see in the graphic above that some still know Alaska is part of the USA.

These freggin` scumbags and their "Allah akbah". Everytime they shoot someone, behead, or torture they always start with this "Allah akbah" stuff like it`s some sort of sexual gratification thing. Freggin` nuke `em from orbit, it`s the only way to be sure.

Although this is definitely a true story (armytimes.com has it posted), the spelling errors (for example, referring to a Dragunov rifle as a "Dragonoff") detract considerably from its credibility.

Same projectile, different case, 54r has more powder. The standard AK is chambered for the 7.62x39mm again same projectile less powder/smaller case.

As Tschiderer secured the terrorist with a pair of handcuffs, he gave medical aid to the wounded terrorist—the same one who’d tried to take his life.

I don't think I get this.

I doubt the goons understand this kind of behavior. Perhaps they see it as a sign of weakness. For what its worth, this guy will be free soon to try to take out another G.I., an Iraqi policeman, a woman or a child.

Upon capturing the wounded terrorist sniper, Pfc. Stephen Tschiderer promptly applied a poultice of Pork Gravy and swaddled the Jihadists wounds and staunched the blood flow with a dressing of Chitt'lins and cracklin's.

Is it my imagination, or did I hear some English from inside that van? I thought that I heard someone murmur, we got him.

I could've sworn I heard one of them....OH SH!T! when he stood up.

I don't think they had time to talk at that point. They were too busy sh$tting in their pants once the soldier got up.
