One thing I'm pretty sure of--If the suspects in question had been 'Rats, there's no way they would have signed waivers allowing their mainstream press interviewers to testify. They'd be hiding behind the pressitutes all day long.
I came across an interesting tid bit of information. Apparently the call for the appointment of and independent council investigation was going no where until the justice dept received a request from the CIA for an investigation into the leaks.
It strikes me as unusual since it has long been assumed that no law was broken in revealing Plame's name, since she had already been outed by Aldrich Ames. So, is it possible that they were looking for a leaker within the CIA?
I have a feeling that this case is a Rope a Dope aka Rove a Dope. Surely, the special prosecutor will have all the answers and God help anyone that commits perjury.

What if Miller was a friend of the Plame/Wilson duo, and she carried their plot to electronically lyncy GW to the NY Slimes?
She would have to fall on her sword and go to jail to keep the Slimes out of even more hot water.
