Right, and there was no reason for the Congress to take testimony on this either.

You're not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you?

if you want to believe that there are Soviet era nukes buried in yuor neighbours backyard, then go ahead. I saw a gallup poll that said 1/3 of americans believe in haunted houses.

I do not believe that there are Soviet nukes buried in the US and that Al Qaeda has the codes and that 1000s of Al Qaeda agents are in the US awaiting order to detonate those ancient nukes.

Bin Laden, according to Williams, has nearly unlimited funds to spend on his nuclear terrorism plan because he has remained in control of the Afghanistan-produced heroin industry.

This will sound extreme, but it's not. Bush needs to have our farmers start poppy production. For the next few years we supply all the heroin to the world. We do it cheaper. An unintended consequence would be to pay off the national debt - undermine terrorists, and knock out funding for crime families.

You won't see a war in Iran. You will see a strike that eliminates Iran's nuke plant and possibly some critical parts of the fuel fabrication process. I don't think Israel has received the bunker busters we sold them yet.

Once those are staged. A bunch of Iran's facilities will go POOF soon after. Other than using our air and naval power to safeguard the Strait of Hormuz and eliminate any Iranian military asset that gets out of line., I think it's going to be a wham bam, eff you Iran.

If Iran wants to carry things further, it'll be death from above for their forces.

Looks like the loonies were coordinating their stories

Actually, I think you are wrong.

Every time the story comes out--there are incremental changes, additions--more detail; higher level of sources etc.

It's not the identical same story.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried hard and succeeded at least partially in coordinating lots of mayhem around the globe at the same time they lite off nukes in the USA.

...suckers who bought the "suitcase nukes" they cobbled together out of gumball machine parts.

As an entrepreneur, your post knocked me backwards, spinning wildly out of my chair. Selling gumball machine parts to terrorists. Hmmmm... you can pick up the gumball parts for $3.53 on eBay plus $20 shipping, then turn around and resell them for $30 million to a bunch of idiots. According to my sales spreadsheet, 99.999922% of the total is pure markup!

Quantity Item Description Invoice price Amount Cost per item Total Cost Retail price
1 Fake Suitcase nuke from gumball parts 3.53 3.53 23.53 23.53 30170940.17

Why do you think this is "loonie"? You think a man with almost unlimited money can't buy nukes? You think a thousand pounds of something can't be smuggled into the US? ( By that reasoning we would not have a problem keeping marijuana out of the country. ) What do you have backing up your position?

The only certain deterrence for this eventuality is for President Bush to clearly and publicly state that if we are hit with a nuke ,or nukes , in America , that we will nuke Mecca and Medina in immediate response , and Tehran in a second strike.

But that would be too insensitive, too hostile, and would alienate the Islamopukes and give them a reason to hate us. After all, we are trying to be as sensitive and gentle as possible while we are fighting this war aren't we?

I have addressed many of the questions raised in this forum on my blog http://constitutionalism.blogspot.com . Summarizing:

1. I have received several seemingly independent reports confirming the Farah article for several months from credible sources with connections to government. I conclude that this is part of a controlled release of information to various people, some of whom have written books on the subject, intended to inform the political class without alarming the public to the extent that it would cause economic collapse the the political repercussions of that.

2. My theory as to why the nukes already here have not been set off already is that they want to place more before setting off the first one, and feel that just a few will not be enough.

3. Their aim is nothing less than to compel us to all convert to Islam, in much the way people have done in the past, after losing battles to Muslims and being given the choice of convert or die. They want a world in which there are no more non-Muslims, ruled by a "Khilafah" or caliphate.

4. They don't care if we nuke all their cities. They consider cities sources of apostasy and corruption, even their own. They have a vision of a world of small farmers and herdsmen, with no cities or modern technology. Nuclear retaliation would be doing just what they want us to do. (That it could also kill all of them is something they don't grasp. These are not rational people.)

To understand the situation we are in, it takes getting into the heads of our enemies. This is not easy for most Westerners. To us it seems like madness, but it is a way of thinking that a lot of people have, people who can destroy us with modern technology. Just read their own websites.

No I'm not comforted by it. What you should worry about is not that they already have a bomb here, but that they might bring one here. It's six of one, half dozen of the other as far as I am concerned, because either way we are dead.

RE: shelter at home.

My wife is at home. I work about 5 miles away.

You can't protect yourself 100%. You can do something, however. In our case, my wife is disabled; our plan is to shelter in place and then possibly move out when the danger has dropped. The shelter gives us that option.

I have followed these reports of Al Qaeda and the nukes for a few years now. They do take you to some really 'far-out' urls. I have always discounted most of the reports that tie into some conspiracy theory.

As of late, I followed up on one of these reports. What struck me with this particular one is the level of detail on seemingly inconsequential bits of information. That detail was not something that you would pick up on the internet. I personally know that those little facts are accurate. It added some verity to the source.

This could just be another yarn being spun with 1% fact and 99% imagination. It could even be deliberate dis-info. However, I watch the folks in the security business. A lot of folks seem awfully worried about something, and these are not folks at the political level.

In any case, for me, the latest report I found (not the one quoted here) added a stong piece of provenance to the idea of Al Qaeda and the nukes. I do think this should be taken seriously, but I certainly have not changed my lifestyle because of it.

Obviously myself nor anyone else can prove if this story is accurate but given our porous borders it amazes me so many people can outright dismiss at least the possibility regardless of who sends the message

Just let a dem president have the same border policy and the same apologists will scream treason.

It's a difficult problem. Rupublicans MUST be elected to the Presidence and the Congresional Majority, but the Mexican border MUST be secured. Bush has to walk a fine line, and he must succeed at both.

I think there will be a lot of hunkering down and moving out when perceived to be safer.

Personally, I believe that only sheltered under God's Almighty Arms is the only safety where that is obedient-to-His-instructions, voice in building and using a shelter or moving out at His Spirit's clear still-small-voice direction.

In any case, walking close to Him will be the only safety here and the only route to eternal life.

imho
