Im sorry I have no respect for some Johnny come lately Mr. Patriotic type. The man got out of going to war when his country asked him too. It does little to honor the people of his generation who gave up their right to play the guitar and act a fool and went over to Nam to fight and die, no questions asked. This is what the military is about, you dont have the right to question authority. Mr. Nugent obvisouly didnt have the character to face this commitment so according to what I have read, he lied/deceived the draft board. I have more respect for someone who even got kicked out of the military because at least he/she had the guts to go and volunteer and know what commitment/sacrifice is all about. If Nugent would of entered the military or civil service, he would find out its not all about blood and guts and God and country. Alot of the folks he uses racial slurs towards are the ones out there on the battle lines right now. The guy is an idiot, and I cant belive anyone would follow him. Nugent is just a cheerleader, I have as much respect for him as I do the extreme left winger crowd. None.
