Why? Because I don't appreciate the parsing that went on? This whole episode lumps us in with them. Rove issued non-denial denials, Scott McClellan went out on a limb for him and the Pres. himself said that this was unacceptable. Should Rove be given a pass because he "technically" didn't break the law? Or should he do the honorable thing and move on to his next career. Bush is already dangerously close to becoming a lame duck. This distraction, all loyalty aside, won't help.
So because we've got a howling pack of MSM reporters screaming for Rove's head...he should resign?
Get real.
I don't give a flying flip what the MSM says! What the Pres. implied was that leaking was unacceptable to his admin. Rove has put him in the position of either firing him or sticking up for him and looking like Clinton explaining the meaning of the word "is".
I'm not too sure how you're coming up with that conclusion. From #25 above:
"Newsweek reported that nothing in the Cooper e-mail suggested that Rove used Plame's name or knew she was a covert operative."
This more and more looks like a cheesy plot by the New York Times to discredit the Bush Administration that has backfired big time.
I want to know about Judith Millers source. That will tell us a lot I think.
