DC FReepers are tops! I'm unable to join in but I'm always there in spirit.
Thanks, DC FReepers!

Let me get this right. This kid is standing at the entrance to Walter Reed Hospital as wounded soldiers are driven in and he's holding a sign that says "MURDERER"....
and Code Pink supports the troops....
....'Scuse, please...barfing in trash can....
....ahh, that's better.
I THINK WE CAN GET A FEW MORE PEOPLE UP THERE TO COUNTER THIS (insert descriptive word here), DON'T YOU?
To: Flora McDonald
You'd think so, but it rarely seems to work out that way.

If this means more pizza for me, I'm not sure this will help my own weight situation.
Maybe we could make the signs out of lead and do weight lifting with them during the FReeps.

He told us that he had been in the Navy.
tgslTakoma said, "I'll bet you didn't dress like that in the Navy." He said, "No, I didn't."

It would have fell down the ladder by accident if it dressed like that. I think the 6" heels would have been blamed.

Prayer request for an Ohio soldier. I don't know the young man but just heard his father-in-law interviewed on the radio. His name is Tim Hines (sp) and he is in critical condition at Walter Reed after being injured in a car explosion in Iraq. He has a two year old and his wife is 8 months pregnant. FIL asked for prayers. (also President Bush visited the family last week) Anyway who better to pray for this young man than our friends at the Finest. Thanks

Quite honestly, the misguided, poorly educated example of our public school system, who appears in the photo, doesn't deserve our time and energy. We're not going to "convert" him, and all we do is swell their numbers by confronting them, and giving them much needed publicity. All they want to do is upset people and annoy us. When we show up, they have succeeded in their mission and goal.
I say ignore them, and do nothing more than to send the photo to everyone on our mailing lists.
Afterall, a picture is worth a thousand words..........

I have been getting out with the DC Chapter since 1998. It has made a extremely large difference. The people who don't make a difference are the ones who rationalize many reasons just to sit behind a keyboard.

You wouldn't say that if you had soldiers and their family members thanking you for being out there, or if you saw the enthusiastic reactions of drivers.
