I'd say he has been totally discredited, and is off the radar screen entirely at this point.
It is the ones who stay on the radar screen that are a problem, such as heroic teddy or jimmuh who frantically wishes he were off the radar screen as his deft handling of the Iran hostage taking bears its ultimate fruit with the ascension of an American-hating terrorist with nukes as the leader there, who happens to have been one of the engineers of the hostage taking and was allowed to get away scott-free by the Georgia communist/traitor...
