Look I never said I supported the man but if you're going to look at it, look at the whole picture and the whole history. It's no more of our business now than it was 20 years ago. As for democracy in Iraq, that was tried at least once before, and the end result will be the same it was before. Except in this instance, a strong Islamic theocracy will be in place. Give it 10 to 20 years tops. Won't that be so much better?

Will this generation and the next, living in the age of global technology and wealth, be able to create a civilized and economically viable country that is compatible with Islam?

It is a question for the entire ME, and those who practice in this cult.

Can Islam in its current form survive the progress of human beings?

How long will their young tolerate the suppression of a natural need to create, invent, and produce?

We shall see, lets meet back again in 20 years.

Would that I cared. If we quit mucking about in the affairs of other nation states we won't need to worry about it. Mysteriously it worked for the most part up until 1918. The nonsense of the Islam wanting to take over the world is as much hype and little more. And if I were you, I wouldn't be worried about Islamics. The rest of the faux conservatives are up in arms about the Chinese, as if they've done something

Look it's clear that you and I both see this as a cult or false religion. But they have the natural right to believe what they want. Forcing democracy, westernization, etc. isn't going to endear us to them over the generations. It's going to piss them off. More attacks because we won't leave them alone.

As for surviving in its current form unfortunately it seems to have done so up until this point.

1918? Wow, since we do not live in that vacuum anymore, I cannot predict what the world would be like under a isolationist President not "mucking up" the world for the last 80 years.

But the Islamic cults have been roaming the globe for 30 of those years, blowing up innocents, with impunity. (Islam taking over the world never enters my mind as serious)

Until 9/11.

With that act, the Islamic cults said they no longer want to just innocently "believe" in their religion without interference, they should no longer be viewed by the western press, and western leaders as victims of an Israeli occupation to rationalize their abuse of their children, and their indoctrination into suicide and murder.

I argue that millions that follow Islam in its current form have asked the west for help because they have been forced under a gun to live under tyranny. Democracy cannot be forced, is not being forced, and I see no Iraqi refugees fleeing from this forced democracy, yet.

Fifty million souls in Iraq and Afghanistan now have a slight chance to practice their religion peacefully, if they do not, in the end, it is their loss and ours.

As I said, which branch of Islam will survive with the next generations? It is a battle between those who want murder and suicide and those who do not.

Time will tell.
