We were mentally imprisoned by the daily images of car bombings and be headings by the media. I agree with you 100% that this speech needs to be followed by an aggressive PR campaign to sustain national support.

Correct. Then add in the daily democrat press conferences, Hollywood projects, and media stories bashing Bush and America. All this time Bush sat on his duff.

Only recently has it been suggested that Bush needs to literally campaign alot more to fight the enemy within (Dick Morris, Michael Graham, Linda Chavez, Fred Barnes), or democrats will turn victory into another Vietnam like they want to.

I wondered if it was a necessary move to make it come off as poignant and important and not upset democrats.

I think the way it did come off made the Dems look petty in their constant and obviously political backbiting.

I think it was good to present it the way they did. I imagine the dems will have something derogatory to say about it today, anyway.

Yeah, it started almost immediately. But hopefully the CNN poll will make the Dems think twice.

They are "terrorists" and this is the war on terror.

And, as I've said many times before, barring revisionist historians, this strategy will go down in history as one of the most brilliant military campaigns of all time. Why? Because we are luring the "insurgents" to Iraq where they fight our military and die there instead of them coming here and fighting our military and cops on Main Street USA.

Nothing short of brilliant, IMHO.
