Right on. The Rats said "Level with the American people, tell them the truth" and he did no less tonight. I am sure theyre already working on their "Heres what he didnt cover" responses. "We must stop him..we MUST stop him, no matter what the cost!!" -Nancy Pelosi

That's cool. I have always wondered why we don't get serious about the borders, there must be some reason? It's not like they don't know it's a hot issue with much of the base. Frankly, I am puzzled...

Also, liberals accuse the President for giving this speech at this time, because of the low poll ratings, when in fact, it was given to commemorate the one year anniversary of handing over sovereignty to Iraq.

Great strides and challenges for Iraq.
Government marks first year of sovereignty

The Iraqi government has made key strides in the year since it regained sovereignty from the United States -- holding historic elections in January and preparing war crimes cases against Saddam Hussein and some of his aides.

On June 28, 2004, the U.S.-led coalition gave Iraq sovereignty, transferring powers to an Iraqi interim government led by Prime Minister Ayad Allawi. That ended the control of Iraq by the Coalition Provisional Authority, which ran the country after the U.S.-war began in March 2003.

Good point. But what sickens me most about the libs response is how they say Bush is unfairly tying the events of September 11th to the war. Hello??? Many terrorists & suicide bombers in Iraq are from countries like Saudi Arabia, which 15 of the 9/11 hijackers came from. They desperately want to kill as many Americans as possible, as did the 9/11 terrorists. Even a blind man could see this and make the corellation, which I guess makes the libs worse then blind, doesnt it?
