This new found friendship really bothers me also.
However, It does not bother me that Billy Graham said Hillary should run the country, it also does not bother me if GHWB gives Bill and Hillary a ride in his speed boat -- just as long as both of them take a ride home in Senator Kennedy's car.
Quote: I think the Bushes are just loving people who truly find the goodness in everyone
Yeah right. Bush did not get where he was (Cia, Pres etc )by not backstabbing somebody along the line.
These 2 are in kahoots.
I think he knows what he's doing.
That's exactly what I was going to say!
After seeing Sandy Berger get to slide on some series felonies, a lot of folks are taking a second look at *Compromised*.
DISENFECT IT, IMMEDIATELY!!!!
That's W's Dad, not yours!!!!!
It's a clique that has its own interests in mind--not those of the country and certainly not those of individual American citizens.
I'm glad there are some people like you and me who can see the light. We battle over the Republican/Democrat issues, and even with Republicans in office, the country still slides to the left. It's all a big farce.
Does this have the effect of legitimizing the Clintons -- and making it easier for Hillary to peddle her "mainstream" shtick as she runs for president?
I've been wearing mine for a while now. I think it looks good on me.
Ever been in court and seen opposing lawyers chatting and arranging social engagements before proceedings begin? Once the judge enters the room, all the affability ends.
What about Bush's attacks on McCain during the primary? Who ran Bush's campaign in Arizona?
You are absolutely correct, Victor. Everything with Bubba is staged. Ever notice his gait when he's walking with any foreign dignitary? You just know he practiced often in front of the mirror. Probably had all of his stage faces and power walks down to a science as a young high school student. Phony from the gitgo.
That's not tinfoil at all, it's just fact. Of course there are those on both sides of the aisle that will tell their party faithful it matters who they vote for. Even here you see the 'faithful' railing about Bush I spending time with Clinton. Suffice it to say over at DU they're doing the exact opposite.
The problem is that those who are upset refuse to see the leadership of both parties is cut from the same cloth and believe the same things. They just play to the citizens of the respective states as if they cared. May as well give all 535 political hacks (Rep. Ron Paul excluded) some scripts and it would be exactly like WWE.
Truly, the elder Bush has lost his mind. What on earth was he thinking when he invited Bill to his house? You sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas. What a stab in the back to his son who is going through a rough period in his presidency.
I always noticed that about him. He looks like a dying fish!!
Was the grifter giving them the finger like he did in that pic they've shown here on FR?? Or is that saved for when he's in RAT company?? Like Hillary.
How come no one ever visits the clintons?
The "homes" they "purchased" in Chappaqua and DC are just for show. They have never given a "shindig" and invited anyone to either of their "homes" (at least I have never heard if they did). If they did invite people into their "homes", they would have to spend money to entertain their guests. The Clintons never spend their own money -- only other people's money.
It's not that we have any special insight or ability that others don't. All it takes is for people to stop believing. But for too many that is too painful to do. They keep running around in circles, like a dog chasing its tail - if only we win the NEXT election, then tomorrow things will turn around. But tomorrow never comes.
I disagree that we continually incline leftward. What the left and right stand for has changed over the years. We are inclining more and more towards statism with corporatism. The true political axis is more a case of up-down rather than left-right. It is a case of those with access to state power compared to those without such access. Statists want more statism - hence the move towards supranational bodies designed to manage world politics and trade. It is a mercantilist game to continually guarantee the profits of big business - the privatization of profits and subsidization of risk.
This was most recently demonstrated with the way 3rd world debt was cancelled. Those banks who gave out bad loans aren't going to just eat their losses, their money is coming from the taxpayers. It's a good thing that the US still has a high standard of living. Because if we didn't and the people knew what was going on, there would be a revolution.
Here are two excellent articles by Rothbard. The second, from 1984, is extremely worthwhile but lengthy and requires a few sittings to keep track of.

The WWE is more honest. It is what it is. It doesn't try to convince you it is something noble. It doesn't force people to watch and won't put you in jail.
