I hope this reporter gets whats coming to foolish media that go in alone and knock on doors and ask dangerous questions of dangerous people.
= )
Destro, your own posts are undermining your contention that our military conducted "terror bombing" against Serbia. "Terror bombing" would be hitting the bridge while it was jammed with Serbs. Hitting it at 3 o'clock in the morning was done specifically to avoid civilian casualties.
Apart from the slander against our military that they would deliberately bomb civilians, your assertion also fails the common sense test. After 70+ days of bombing, if the US Air Force had really wanted to "terror bomb" Serbia, there would have been nothing left but bouncing rubble. Instead, the Serbs were having rock concerts, the cafes were filled, and over half of the 500 civilian deaths that did occur due to the bombing were in Kosovo.
The bridges were bombed in the afternoon as well as at night. Bombing a civilian use bridge when no military vehicle is on them at the time is a war crime act of terror. Geneva convention.
Well then these remarks of a couple weeks ago by our man in Belgrade apply to you as well:
Unfortunately, a sense of denial has prevailed among large segments of the population about war crimes committed by Serbs. In public remarks I made on May 12, I noted that polls showed that just over one-third of Serbs believed that war crimes were committed at Srebrenica, despite the acknowledgement of the RS Government itself that these crimes occurred. I noted that less than one-third of Serbs believed that the bodies of over 800 Kosovar Albanians, most of them brutally executed, were located in mass graves in Serbia -- despite the fact that your own government acknowledges this fact. .. a student group at the Belgrade Law Faculty ... aimed to cast doubt on the crimes at Srebrenica. By attempting to propagate such a dangerously irresponsible myth, they sought to excuse the war crimes perpetrated there ... the Srebrenica videotape, which ... displayed just one tiny fraction of the inhumanity inflicted there in July 1995 ... I hope that this image of ethnic cleansing in its most brutal form will cause Serbs throughout this country to more openly face the past ... acknowledge the magnitude of crimes committed by Serbs in the wars of the 1990s. I hope that they will recognize that their "heroes" of Srebrenica were capable of cowardly shooting frightened, helpless, bound teenagers in the back.
No need to repent....!!!
It's like asking the USA to repent for 9/11...
