Orlando, if one is not responsible enough to pay child support and protect their own children, how can you justify trusting them to watch the back of our kids while they fight for America?
You may be willing to put irresponsible people out there as soldiers, but I certainly am not, not to the jeopardy of safety to the honorable and noble young men and women who have stood up and taken on America's challenges, risking their lives for us.
Somehow, I seriously doubt "hard core veterans" are sitting in jail for refusing to pay child support. I believe the ones who are refusing to care for and protect their children are those with such a sense of entitlement and concern only about themselves, that they most likely never did anything that would create risk to them.
Sorry, but I have no respect for people who don't care for their kids but nothing but the utmost in respect to those who work two, sometimes three jobs to make sure their kids are protected.
The folks you are talking about are losers.

Not all Men/Fathers are bad people.
There's bad on both side....
There are alot of these fathers/veterans in jail, because they were set-up on a lie, and in many Paternity cases the men gets hit with child support years after the child is born. In some cases he(father) don't know about this child, until child support knocks on your door. Then you must fight back with atty cost, court costs,blood tests, delays and delays of hearings, and when it is determine he is the father (99%+-blood/DNA test results). The court retro-rate BACK to the time of birth, add to that all other charges and INTEREST rates . Then you can find yourself $10,000.00++
in debt in seconds, and when you pass $5,000.00 you are a Felon, they take away your driver/CDL licenses, all your savings, voting rights, gun rights, 401K,etc..etc...
These young Men only mistake was to make love to a women, after serving in war for years. They survived the middle east and other AO only to be taken out at home....
This does not make them bad soldiers.
If, this is not addressed and investigated by Congress this country is in trouble.
