guess we're getting another home insurance company . . .

Bravo! If I had 'em, I'd be right in line with you. I don't have a problem with puritans per se, but when they set up an inquisition to enforce this crusading amorality, it's time to start looking for ways to "break it off" in 'em.

And to think that I saw their commercial earlier tonight and thought I'd call them for a quote. Not any more!

Guess who my insurance company, er.... WAS?
My wife has been putting insurance solicitations in front of me for months and asking me to look into new insurance. No more procrastination - - Allstate is DONE insuring my family. Puke.

Well, we talk all the time about how we supposedly have "freedom of speech" in this country. But I would argue the only Americans who truly have freedom of speech are the self-employed and the unemployed.

This is just the latest in a string of cases I've heard about where someone gets fired for something they say or do completely outside the work environment. I've heard that the woman who started a recall campaign against Spokane's troubled mayor was also fired from her job as a florist because the floral company didn't want the "controversy" to hurt their business when people found out one of their employees was organizing the recall petition.

You're in the wrong hands with Allstate.

And be careful... Those limp wrists may drop you!

I thought the same thing, but you never know how bold some may get when they think they can't lose.

I smell a queer in the HR department. Remember the queer lawyers from the justice department in the Philadelphia five case?

You are only able to speak your mind about morality in Muslim countries.... kind of twisted and ironic.

Perhaps you should e-mail the CEO and let him know how his HR department is pissing away his advertising budget.

I have Allstate car insurance, and I just now printed out this story and plan to talk to my agent about it next time I go in. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that Allstate was mentioned in the writer's bio that ran with the story. That's a real problem even if the writer didn't know it was going to be included.

Methinks Mr. Barber is going to come into a nice piece of change somewhere down the road.

List of Barber Columns in MND

Looking through his work, even briefly, I can see why the lefties and pansexualists have got their tighties in a wad.

You go Matt!

If I had Allstate, I would terminate my policy tomorrow.

How glad I am that Allstate turned me down 35 years ago because I was single and just out of the military. I've never considered contacting them since and never will.

let's see, there's Progressive and now Allstate.

Just out of curiosity what was with Progressive? Not that I want to check them out because I don't.

So, does that mean we all should refrain from blogging because someone might add to our comments and we get the blame for them? I think not. Talk about taking away the freedom of expression and I thought that only applied to Muslim countries and China.

I think ? that their Human Resources department has been over run by closet homosexuals.
This is discrimination against this mans religious rights and beliefs, I hope this man wins this law suite, and puts those homosexuals in the poor house.
Everyone here on FR, fellow Republicans, Christians ? this is the agenda, plain, the war that the homosexuals and feminist want to wage on us.
The want to seize control of our country, our institutions, schools, government, take away our property, our rights, and it is happening in front of our faces, we need to rise up and fight back, and take back America NOW , or else , we will lose our country, our children, our government, and our churches.

If the Allstate reference was indeed added to the writer's bio by a third party, I think the correct resolution would be for Allstate to re-hire the writer and for a disclaimer to be posted where the article originally ran that says Allstate does not necessarily support the views of the writer. Allstate has a right to be mad if its name was used in the writer's bio without any disclaimer.
