And everyone should be criticizing all liberals, which includes Durbin. I was just focusing on this part of news articles:

"Rove said the Democratic Party made the mistake of calling for ``moderation and restraint'' after the terrorist attacks."

But note that that phrase is not in the prepared statements. Or maybe that was your point, and I missed it. If so, sorry.

The showed the speech on Fox, he definitely said "liberal"

This was a HUGH "gotcha" joke by Rove and Bush---they knew that the dems would over react...and the dems did. LOL

BTW, I predicted on another thread that the dems would say that Rove did this to divert attention from the War in Iraq, and Rummy hearings today...

And, Brit read Howard Dean's statment about Rove's remarks, and I think, I am not sure, that that is what Dean said---

That the GOP is using this as a "diversion"!!!

Alright, you know what, you are right about the generalization of Democrats.

I'm actually glad the MSM identified MoveOn.org and Michael Moore as Democrats!

"MoveOn.Org, Michael Moore and Howard Dean may not have agreed with this, but the American people did."

The recentest feed of the AP article is revised, according to a poster called Dreadnought on another site, to say:

He added that groups linked to the Democratic Party made the mistake of calling for "moderation and restraint" after the terrorist attacks. [underline added to the AP added text] http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2005/06/23/national/a090505D35.DTL

Well, maybe he shouldn't have been a terrorist in Afghanistan, then.

That makes more sense.

I do concede that Rove mentioned Howard Dean, which could be interpreted as "The Democratic Party". However, the media needs to be more accurate about it. More quotes needed. I don't understand why we had to go all the way to the transript to find out exactly what juicy thing he said, ya know?

Well, maybe he shouldn't have been a terrorist in Afghanistan, then.

The sad thing is .. one would think a Senator of the US would realize that

Well, with about 48% of the nation being morons, nothing should surprise us.

I understood your focus from the first comment I made on the matter. My point is that was indeed Rove's message.

Off topic of this thread but related Brit Hume's show. Did you see when Mort Kondrake made it a point to mention how Gen. Abizaid told the Armed Services Committee that the statements of the senators were starting to affect troop morale. That the troops were starting to wonder if Congress and the American people were still behind them and their mission, even though they believe in the mission themselves?

THIS is what we should scream in the face of every RAT (or Pub, Hagel comes to mind) that opens their peep about the war effort. Those fools aren't fit to wipe the boots of our fine servicemen and women. And the pro-Vietnamization crowd is hearing this with glee. Feh!

Karl is right on the mark. So many libs. were afraid of insulting the taliban and wanted UN resolutions and petitions signed, they marched for peace.

However, I have to give the democrats credit for one thing, they use the press for their advantage; they were like pit bulls on the news today.

While, the stuffy-shirt wimp Republicans remained reticent on the turban durbin affair. Frist is a lame duck and no leader.

firebrand, anyone you know at the dinner?
