It's a faux investigation. A fake. Complete incompetence and worse. If diplomats had an ounce of legitimacy, the diplomat to the Netherlands would be taking to the airwaves to put pressure on Aruba.
Catching up on the thread I see the tripping was mentioned once before. Now they will go to Plan B...trash the victim.

As an aside, Croes consistently mis-pronounced Joran's first name...ending it with an "m". Greta then seemed to say Joran's name more times than necessary, and to over-pronounce the "n", in order to get him to correct himself, which he never did.
The prosecutor on the case, a blonde woman, was on Fox earlier, and she came across as determined to find N. She also said Papa had given legal advice and obstructed the case, but she was trumped by the judge from off island. She sounded as if they're going to dig and dig for the truth, and they're accepting help now from other, more experienced law enforcement agencies, including the FBI. Two electronics experts with a device that analyzes voices and words for leads, lies, etc., were also on tv last night. They were very interested in Joran and 'the boys' text messaging and emails, too, now in the cops' hands. The cops are going to use that tech., too, and the Dutch marines are going to come and help look for N. I hope they find her soon. But even if they do, J can always stick to his story that he left her there, sleeping on the beach...so probably she walked into the water and forgot how to swim. If there's enough of her left for forensics to tell a tale, maybe they can prove she was at least raped and maybe suffocated. But it's been a month now, way too long.

Okay, if they're looking off shore, not close in, and if they find what's left of her, then somebody took her out and threw her overboard....someone with a boat. Mark Furhman said the time span/window when she might have been killed and disposed of is specific and not all that long. Maybe they're talking to area residents asking if someone took out a boat in the early hours. (You'd think they'd have done that three or four weeks ago.) There's always the likelihood that Joran/or the 'boys' won't be able to keep their mouths shut when released. Say at some bar in the near future, when they've had a few too many.
So after he had "sex" with Natalee, why didn't he just take her on home? What did he do, rape her on the beach and leave her there after she told him she was going to call the authorities? But wait..didn't the Kalpoe boys say he had SEX with Natalee in the car? Mind boggling.
He had SEX with her alright, but against her will. And I'm sticking to that.

I have wondered if when her friends asked her if she was okay, as she was leaving C and C if they were detecting something. Like roofies. They pointedly asked her, said she said little but said she was okay. Some people on being given powerful sedatives, have a "look", sort of a stunned look. She may have had the drug given to her right before closing time.
But friends may have noticed something. That is my guess. And she may not have had the will or ability to say no. But Joran said she was "acting crazy". Maybe he wasn't lying, maybe she was, under the influence of something she didn't understnad.
I'm sticking with that as well, spectre. And no one of any validity has ever said she did drugs, but we can see that Plan B will be implemented to trash the victims.
It's been accepted practice for over 20 years to trash the victims who can't speak for themselves. And it's despicable.
I am really angry at Aruban officials and the VDS family. They'll pay someday, somehow.
So what happens if N is found in the sea, what's left of her, a la Laci Peterson? If J and the three still won't crack, they'll just say she went swimming and, being drunk, drowned. Right from the getgo they've taken great pains to blame the victim and smear her name. To hear J talk, he did N one favor after another that night, and then, after acting like a total gentleman for hours, suddenly leaves a defenseless girl, if drunk...according to him...to sleep on the beach. Doesn't pass the smell test.

I think the time span in which she was killed is not all that long. However, with the help of PVDS, I think there was a much greater time span to dispose of her body.
Personally, I believe that a boat was involved because I think JVDS and PVDS are very confident that her body will not be found.
I think Greta's whole point of the long story from the Croes man last night was that Joran had already concocted the lie, BEFORE anyone knew that Natalee was missing. In other words, HE knew she was missing, but no one else did, and since he has recanted this whole story that was recounted in the interview last night, he lied before he had to. Red Flag, Red Flag, and the little sob is going to get away with it, maybe even if they do find Natalee's body.

I think, over time, Joran, even if he walks, will pay the price. Karma and all.
Talk about pouring it on. Joran not only said N was all over him that night, that he'd recouped her losses at the casino...he only gambled to help her...that she danced provocatively, called him her 'good luck' charm, initiated sex, was so drunk she fell on her face getting out of the car, and that she did drugs. None of this is believable. He was describing himself.
