I think it also means that she will be more forthcoming about her meeting with PVDS and others. It's apparent that she's in withholding mode on many details perhaps in compliance with Aruban investigators.

Maggie, I wonder who tutored Croe's on having the vocabualry to use client? I really believe that term is too, high speed for his mental capablity or conception. NSNR

I love your tagline, just had to say it.

Assuming that the authorities can not get enough evidence to prove the murder / harm to Natalle, how much prison time can each of the suspects receive for their lies to the police during the investigation? Has anyone researched this? Seems like not telling the truth when you are as being questioned in a missing person case would be a serious crime.</p>

Good question and I fear we already know the answer. To quote PVDS: No body, no crime. (Lies don't appear to count in Aruban prosecution.)

So, no penalty whatsoever

Meant "no consequences for their lies" whatsoever.

Looks like a young punk mobster there......... and the car hood (over his forehead) creates the look of a '30-'40's hat worn at a slight angle by most mafia guys. How appropriate.

Interesting. We have the right to remain silent I do believe. Can silence here, i.e. if we were Papa Sloot and remained silent about what we told, could we be prosecuted.
I don't think we would. Nor could we be held indefinitely and interrogated without a lawyer and the right not to say anything plus the right to be charged or released.
Even as we bash Aruban justice, they have way more leeway than we do with suspects.

Often, the apple of a parent's eye is the kid who is rotten to the core. Would that be the apple which doesn't fall far from the tree?

Interesting that we now have a an ex-boyfriend of Natalee's in the mix. (according to an earlier post by Brigitte). May mean nothing of course -- or something.

From kcvl's post #4777:
Jug talked to Senator Trent Lott (MS) today and Beth spoke to Senator Richard Shelby (AL) and they also spoke to the Embassy. Please keep emailing and calling their offices because it is helping.
Beth is having a really hard time and any little bit that we can do will help her spirits at least.
They just want to go home with their daughter. They don't care what LE in Aruba do with the criminals.
Write a letter/call/fax to the Holland government at:
Netherlands Embassy - Washington DC

Washington, DC 20008 - USA
202-244-5300 (phone)
202-362-3430 (fax)
Senator Trent Lott
487 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510
Phone: (202) 224-6253
Senator Richard Shelby
United States Senate
110 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510
Telephone: (202) 224-5744
Fax: (202) 224-3416
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT!
I just followed kcvl's request and made three phone calls, which didn't even take three minutes. If all FReepers who will do this, it can make a tremendous difference. Our voices need to be heard and that's the least we can do. I plan to write letters too.
When I called the Netherlands Embassy, the phone rang about a dozen times before the operator answered. I asked for the Ambassador's Office. Got her voice mail & left a message.
Called Trent Lott's office and asked if there was a particular person who was taking calls about Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba. She said that she could take the call or a message. I got the impression that they've not gotten many calls and she wasn't able to share whether or not Sen Lott is or has intervened or corresponded in any way with the Aruban govt, and frankly didn't seem too concerned.
Called Richard Shelby's office and got the nicest woman on the phone. When I asked who was taking calls about Natalee Holloway, she said that she would be happy to forward my message. She was very aware of the situation and thanked me for calling, and said that Sen Shelby was in the process of composing a letter which he is sending to their government.

Is this the first we've heard something about Natalee tripping when she got out of the car? I caught the tail end of a FNC report.

If anything comes of it, remember, my husband said "perhaps there is a killer in the class". He chuckled as he said it and of course that doesn't explain Jorans lying and manufacture of an alibi before an alibi was even needed. But interesting.

Is this the first we've heard something about Natalee tripping when she got out of the car?Nope, that was said in statements early on. Of course, significant portions of those statements are now admitted to be lies.

he also looks a bit PUDGY to me, i doubt he is being treated very severely in prison, he doesn't look to have missed any meals!
To: GarySpFc
Can you imagine any 17 y.o. kid taking the time out to send a text message that early in the morning when there is a warm bed nearby?
That was my immediate thought when I heard it. No way is a guy going to text message another guy in the wee hours of the morning letting him know he got home alright.... Geeze. Obviously, it was a message letting Deepak know 'everything is okay, Natalee's taken care of'.

i saw his condescending treatment of greta and it totally discredited Oreilly, he looked incredibly small. that monster ego is being eaten alive knowing her numbers passed his.

Notice that Joran's mother is putting emphasis on finding Natalee alive. That's all she talks about. People are conflicted, going back and forth looking for her remains, but at the same time vocalizing she is alive somewhere else. It only benefits Joran to speculate Natalee is alive.
Every time Beth has started to get anxious, the keystone cops throw her a crumb so she won't make waves. I have a feeling that little game plan is about to come to a halt.
I've tried to see this case from every angle, even that the boys may indeed be innocent. But all roads lead back to Joran...duh..
