Illegal aliens are criminals. They should not be in the US because they are illegal aliens, present in the United States without the proper documents to work or reside. They are in violation of Title 8 USC 1325.

Illegals becoming more violent against Border Patrol

U.S. Border Patrol agents say they are the victims of escalating violence.

The problem is getting so bad, the Border Patrol says numbers of assaults against them are up almost 50% from where they were last year.

Agents in the Tucson sector are patrolling a total of 261 miles of border, but some are doing it from the confines of a cage.

The vehicles are called 'war wagons', literally designed to protect against rocks and boulders thrown by illegal smugglers.

But the metal caging won't protect agents from a problem that's gaining even more momentum.

"When our agents try to do a vehicle stop, criminal element try to run over our agent to evade arrest," says agent Jose Garza, from the Tucson sector.

So far this fiscal year, the Tucson sector of the Border Patrol has reported 163 acts of assault against agents, compared to a total of 118 for the entire fiscal year of 2004.

National reports say vehicle rammings are up 188%, shootings are up 122% and cases of rock throwing are up 23%.

Garza says, "They're getting frustrated because we're out there. We're encountering them more times."

Agent Garza says he knows, with more manpower and resources, will come more encounters with criminal activity.

There are no reports at this time of deaths or serious injuries to agents. Garza says those on patrol are constantly being trained about the dangers along the international line.

Maybe you would like to paint over the MS13 graffitti that keeps cropping up on the fence down street of what used to be my nice middle class neighborhood.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that our newly re-elected President Bush must be on the LULAC, MeCHA, LaRAZA, MALDEF and OZLAND propaganda distribution list, as he repeats the same fabricated crap when he offers one of his earth-shattering sage comments on his open-border, take-all-you-can, screw American, policy.

Example (They say):
US population = 14% Hispanic
(280 million x 14 % = 39 million Hispanics
Subtract -20 million ILLEGALS
Subtract - 9 million Anchor Babies + ILLEGAL parents

(Reality)
US LEGAL CITIZEN population = 10 million Hispanic, or 4 %
{10 million / 251 million Adjusted Citizen count}

It is far more than 10 million. At least that many have crossed over just in the past five years, not counting that many more already here before 2000.

It would be interesting to see just how many illegal aliens the government says have migrated in just the past five years.

The 10 million figure is how many are supposed to be here.
No doubt there are 40, 50, 60 million here, but the bulk of them are either Illegal or Anchor Baby Illegals.

Whatever the government tells us, we would be safe to triple. The higher the number they put out, the more incompetence they admit.

Cervantes is the owner of a recycling and technical equipment business...

In other words, he's a drug dealer.

Texas has already been conquered by Hispanics. I wonder if the citizens of the great state of Texas are aware of that?

We're more than aware. Why do you think the minutemen were invted here? These folks LULAC and the like, have a policy called "reconquista" California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas have all been "reconquered". We've tried for years to get the federal and state governments to do something about it. Wake up folks, you're next on the list.

When there are 20 pages in any metropolitan phone book in the Southwest for "Garcia" and dozens of Juan Garcias and Lupe Garcias, it's impossible to sort through them all. There is rampant fraud in filing for freebies and we all know it.

States with large immigrant populations tend to be the most prosperous.

More immigrants make it more prosperous, or a more prosperous areas attracts more immigrants? (I am taking you to mean illegal aliens).

"More immigrants make it more prosperous, or a more prosperous areas attracts more immigrants?"

Whether the chicken or the egg came first is moot. We have to have both employers and employees to sustain prosperity.

No, it is extremely germain. If more prosperous areas attract illegal aliens, that does not suggest the areas will continue to be more prosperous. That is not rocket science. But it's ok. Alot of people confuse cause and effect.

Building a new factory will CAUSE workers to come there looking for work.

But no one is going to build a new factory anyplace unless they first are assured that there are workers who will come there.

Have you read any of the articles about how Saturn decided to locate in Tennessee or Toyota (?) in Alabama (?) recently? The most important factor was the availability of workers with good attitudes.

Texas has made great efforts to train immigrants (both children and adults) the basic language and skills to become workplace ready. As a result Texas is the number one state for new startup businesses and for businesses relocating from other states.

The California economy is booming. The legislature is fighting over what to do with the increased revenues.

I'm not sure booming is quite the word. We are improving, but overspending is still the word of the day. For example, I found this in the summary of the State's 2004-2005 budget:

"While revenues have increased by 25 percent over the past five years, State expenditures have risen by 43 percent…

..In health and human services alone, significant program expansions have totaled $1.3 billion.”

For the year 2005-2006, the May, 2005 revision states:

"We started this fiscal year with a budget gap of $8.6 billion. With this budget, we reach balance with no new borrowing. But next fiscal year, we start all over again—likely beginning the year in deficit as automatic spending formulas continue to demand higher amounts of spending whether or not the revenue is there to support those levels." http://www.dof.ca.gov/HTML/Budget_05-06/MayRevision2005-06/MayRevision2005-06Menu.htm

The legislators like to spend like drunken sailors, and when Governor Schwarzenegger tries to put curbs on it, the teachers' union and other special interest groups start protesting.

If we didn't have so many people sucking on the State's teat, then our economy WOULD be booming.

Hmmm, if what you say is true, then we do not need illegal immigrants to come here. If no one builds a factory where they are not assured workers, then no one is building factories in the US where there are not already enough workers. So, why do we need more people to cross the border, if there are already enough workers available?
