OK, I find this amusing. An interesting challenge to be sure.
However, if these guys had really planned this out, don't you think they'd have picked a time OTHER than summer in NYC to do this?

In a related story, the head of the Ant-Roach Alliance, NYC Chapter, expressed his delight at the efforts of the Snapple Corporation to feed impoverished insects in the Manhattan area.

According to the New York Post, several bicyclists slid in the slippery goo and fell to the ground. ...after 300 lawyers were on the scene before they hit that ground.

The New York Post has a great action shot of the moment a bicyclist wipes out into the slippery goo.
From the angle of the shot, it's obvious the guy on the bike went right past the photographer. Instead of warning the guy he was heading straight into an unforseen disaster, the camera guy instead aimed his camera at the exact spot where the guy would spill and took the perfect photo just as he lost control and tumbled to the pavement.
I love the Post.

"fire hoses yesterday to wash away thousands of pounds of sticky goo"
I bet that section of street sounds pretty odd right now. I wonder what thousands of people walking on remnants of sticky goo sounds like? I wish they had a camera there to watch all the people checking their shoes...: )
