No, I DO NOT SPEAK FOR YOU, never said I did. You assume a lot. But I assure you, I speak for many, and I know many. And many of us are ONE or TWO issue people - other than those issues, many of us do not care which party is digging both hands into our pockets while they smile - there is nothing we can do about it.

Abortion is against American Tradition - you know. "Life, Liberty" etc.

Permitting Illegal Immigration is in a way, even worse. Eventually it will be a sell out to the Dems replacing their aborted electorate with another wave of uneducated people. But mostly, GWB took an OATH to uphold the laws of this land. Failure to uphold the immigration laws, thus permitting illegal immigration, is a ground for impeachment IMHO. No it won't happen, but I won't vote for the turkeys that permit EITHER or BOTH of the two items I detest. The issues have other complex ramifications which are over simplified by those who denigrate our beliefs with the term "one issue".

We WILL see if you are right as the REPs WILL sell out the Pro Lifer's and those that want American values and traditions upheld. Let's see if the so-called "single" issue voters will dash the hopes of "I'll pull the one lever" people who cannot think. Seems to me that those who can think are in the minority in both parties, the rest love machine politics.

This is my first post here on Free Republic.

I work for a pro-life organization and here is the latest news I am getting that could be a shocker for pro-lifers.

1) Justice Sandra Day O'Conner will retire as early as next week.

2) Bush will nominate pro-abort Alberto Gonzalez to replace her, despite opposition from pro-life activists.

3) Chief Justice Rehnquist will retire.

4) Bush will nominate a solid pro-lifer to make pro-lifers shut up.

5) No loss but NO GAIN for pro-lifers.

Here is also some info I received today:

A top pro-life lobbyist (who I will not name) asked Alberto Gonzalez the following question:

Mr Gonzalez, what is the consitution?

Gonzalez: "Whatever the Supreme Court says it is."

Pro-lifers, we can not stand for this.

This is the latest info as of 12:00 am on Friday, June 24th.
