I like the Colorado Avalanche announcer that yells and screams when the Avalanche score a goal, then simple says a muffled "score" when the other team scores.

Deck those Broncos, they're just yonkos".That was very funny!
While Myron played the goof on the radio, and is used as a gag on one talk show here in Cleveland, his writing about boxing and football was always good.
Right ON!!!!
He was a great writer early in his career (Broken Cigars), and he really never wanted to speak........... but, he was asked to do a talk show.
I remember when he told the story about the talk show offer from WTAE. He told his wife about the offer and she almost fell over laughing.
But, look what happened. He was/is totally intelligent and never unwilling to be the butt of a joke........ but Myron was and is NERVER a joke!!!!!!!!!

Simmer down there, summerwind.
That kind of over-the-top "sarcasm" has gotten people banned around here.
But then, you already knew that.

I'll always think of the Ohio NFL teams as the "Cleve Brahnies" and the "Bungles," thanks to Myron. ----

If you are feeling homesick, you can order some of these goodies from WQED. I have a few of these tapes and whenever I want to smile and remember the good old days of West View Park, Isley's klondikes, chipped ham and the Gazebo Deli, I pop in one of these tapes :) :)

BTW, here a little bit of trivia that alot of people do not know. Rush Limbaugh (aka Jeff Christie} got his start at KQV radio in the "Burgh" in 1972 as a night DJ. To this day El Rushbo is still a diehard Steeler fan and loves to fly up and catch a game at Heinz Field :)

Lets be honest Stillerz fans.. we all know in our hearts, that this day was long overdue.
I salute Myron for all the wonderful things he has done for the Pittsburgh region.... he's a truly wonderful man... but he's been declining on air for years and years.
Best to you Myron!
To: JarheadFromFlorida

Klondikes ......... when I buy them, I eat them all in one day!

Lets be honest Stillerz fans.. we all know in our hearts, that this day was long overdue. It was inevitable, certainly after last season. He truly wanted to go to the Super Bowl one more time and if it weren't for those pesky Patriots, it would have been. Damn them!
They could surely do a virtual Myron. It wasn't so much what he had to say a lot, it was the excitement, the tone of voice.

(quinn@warroom.com)
A lot of good people come through here to become even better later on. Pittsburgh has a way of putting one's feet firmly on the ground ....... as everyone in this fine city thinks they are the equal of everyone else. And, that is a good thing......... a Burgh thing!
Ilove Myron. He's a solid MAN!
