Well I guess Kerry, after over thirty years, has finally got his DD214, service and medical records "doctored up" enough so they look half way respectable. He can thank Jimmy Carter for changing his discharge. Although, those of us who actually served in combat in Viet Nam know what a lying, treasonous fraud Kerry really is.
Semper Fi,
Kelly
Most people recognize a prick when they meet one. Kerry certainly qualifies, no matter how much Jimmah Cahtah waxed up his records.
H'mm.
Too cute by half.
Nothing more than another partial, sanitized disclosure through a "safe" intermediary.
His best friends???
No matter how dishonest, biased, ideological or partisan a given reporter may be, they are first and foremost ambitious and opportunistic. If there really is something juicy or damming in these records, at least one of the reporters will take the opportunity to make a name for themselves. If this information was available prior to the last election, it is possible they would lie to protect Kerry, but now since less is at stake, the desire to advance their own career will have a much stronger pull.
Probably true. But it's editors, not reporters, who decide what's "news" and whether to play it on page one or in the D-section on page 63 next to the obits after careful rewrites to slant it exactly the way they want it. The only time competitive instincts come into play is when the opposition's about to scoop you with your own story. Since these three media outlets are already on the same political team it sounds to me as if the huddle's over, the plays have already been called and they don't have to worry about competitors having access to the source material. I've seen this game before.
He has no friends.
