Far more than 25% of Jews voted for Bush... remember that the exit polls underestimated Bush's strength by 11 percentage points. Add on that none of the exit pollers went to Orthodox (90%+ Bush) areas.

My uninformed guess: 40% of Jews were Bush voters.

i think that is too much.

In 1980 Reagan got 40% of the Jewish vote. Oddly in 1984, Jews were the only demographic that supported Reagan by a smaller number than 4 years previous

"and it's the jewish dem lib senators who all vote in lockstep."

Wow. I didn't know that Salazar, Clinton and the like are Jews.

...fact of the matter is, most Democrats are not Jewish. They're self-professed, "in Jesus' name" praying, born again Christians. That's a fact.

"For many liberal JEWS, judiams isnt their religion, liberalism is."

For liberal left CHRISTIANS, Christianity isn't their religion. Liberal leftism is.

Then that kind of contradicts the headline of the article then, doesn't it?

No. First, I doubt the "Jewish Community" has a collective opinion on Bolton one way or another. On essentially party line issues I'd expect Democratic Senators to vote with their party. Irrespective of their religion. What Bolton did over a decade ago isn't all that relevant.

I can't remember who said it today, but I was listening to talk radio, and either Rush or Sean Hannity made the comment that they are surprised that Lieberman is voting against Bolton...

Lieberman is a hawk on the war, is usually more likely to not act like a lemming...and, being Jewish KNOWS that Bolton has been the most instrumental in the past, in trying to wipe out anti-semitism in the UN....

It's a party line vote. IMO the Democrats know how to play minority party. It would be nice if Republican's learn how to lead before they lose one of their majorities or the White House.

Most people have forgotten the Zionism is racism issue. What's significant isn't the issue as much as the fact that Bolton was able to muscle an unpopular resolution through the UN. It's what we need, but if you're pro-UN, it's not what you want. For the life of me with 55 Senators I don't understand how GWB hasn't bypassed the media and taken this obstructionism to the people.

I am listening to the Tony Snow show (tape delay) and he is saying exactly what you are...

That President Bush needs to use the "bully pulpit" to let the American people that don't pay as much attention as Freepers do, what the dems are doing---obstructionism, plus aiding and abetting the enemies---Durbin...

We were able to barely defeat Daschle because of obstruction, but Illinois, California, Massachusetts, New York, aren't South Dakota...

I think Bush will make him a recess appointment---it worked when he did that for William Pryor...

That'll probably work. But this is less about Bolton than it is a preliminary to the first Supreme Court nomination. It would have been nice to win it.

When you have the idiot Gang of 14 making all of the decisions for the Senate nowdays, nothing of substance will get done...

Both, McCain and Graham, who were in that Gang of 14, assured after announcing the "agreement", that Bolton would get an up/down vote...so see, even in that "revered" group of 14, the dems win..

The reason the 'Rats are so determined to see Bolton go down is that he would be a terrific advocate for freedom
and democracy around the world, along with being a great
proponent of American exceptionalism. This is something most
'Rats abhor.

Additionally, he would be honest to a fault, and call to account those
who commit terror and mayhem along with their supporters.
Oh, do the 'Rats ever hate people like that.

Ha. I thought I was speaking to fellow non-Jews who have had a habit of blaming all/most of the politics of the Democrat left on Jews. That's funny.
