Officially I don't know.
but freepers all declared it was not Nat's underpants, too big, too old fashioned. I mean, they were granny panties.
Off topic, but the first link to pics from BillP will eventually go to his website BillP Studios for WinPatrol which is great software for your computer. It gives you info on what is running on startup, what tasks are scheduled etc. So, if you have spyware infiltration you can usually see it. Also the ability to remove only the cookies you want instead of all of them.
Was channel surfing last night and saw the head guy of TexasEquiSearch on MSNBC's Joe Scarborogh show. I was very impressed with the equipment they have and their search techniques they use. Sounds like these people know what they're doing and may very well find Natalee :) or her body :(

Thanks, I'd read about the granny panties too, but the way everyone keeps referring to "where the panties were found" made me think I'd missed something!

Maybe they should arrest Daddy Van Der Sloot, if only to see if his son will confess the crime in order to save his Father. I can dream...
Don't know. Freepers said no way.
Considering the way the young man who found the panties was handling them for the media, I certainly hope they weren't Natalee's. Their evidentiary value would be diminished.
On a personal note, I would know every article of my daughter's clothing. As her private banker and personal servant, I buy them and I wash them. I believe her mother would have recognized them immediately.
I heard that "they had no connection to the case".
They can scour that island top to bottom, but it's a big ocean. Enough said.

Just saw the spokeswoman for the Aruban gov't on Fox. Let me be the first to say: Emily Latilla is now working with, and taking her talking points from, Bagdad Bob! Very scary! That lady looked just like our favorite "nevermind" girl!
So basically it comes down to this: no body, no prosecution? (I'm not up to speed.)
Bookmarking for later. I am following this thread but don't have time to contribute, as I am watching grandchildren (3) this week.
Equisearch was formed here a several years ago when a lot of young girls started disappearing along the south end of the Gulf Freeway. Most of the Searchers were on horseback at that time, some on ATV and many were on foot. In time, they have become a superb organization who are very skilled at finding lost people. They have been invited all over the world. If the Aruban authorities will GET OUT OF THEIR WAY, we will soon know if Natalees' body is on the island.
I think I read or heard that the underwear was NOT hers.
That's what one of the Aruba government talking heads said on one of the shows last night. Greta's maybe.
if it turns out that way, and i were one of natalee's family, i would have to make the Van Der SLoot family's lives a living hell til someone told me what happened to my daughter. that would be the only thing driving me at that point.
Uh oh.
Speaking of lost evidence, that reminds me of something I heard on Fox last night.
Whoever was hosting the program (thing it was BOR) asked the guest this question: Do the police have Steve Croes's car impounded to check for evidence? The answer: No, his ex-wife needed the car, so it's now parked at the grandfather's house.
Well, there goes whatever might have been found in that car!
