I never trust people who pop up like that with all kinds of inside information.

I'm jaded, I guess.

I wonder why I thought you were from New Orleans.
Were you raised in NC?

My sister lives in South Carolina and I love what I have seen of SC.

My sister is near Spartenburg (sp?) - The hubby and I traveled there a few years back and spent a week in Cherokee NC, then 1 week in Spartenburg SC and then 1 week in Myrtle Beach. It was great!

The humidity there is not as bad as it as it is in Missouri. I am from Missouri and now live in Southwestern IL (which sucks) - but I am close enough to Missouri still.

I would love to move to SC or NC

Well Howlin I am pooped out, you have have a great morning!

Thank you for the invite.
I have been a little appalled at some of the stuff I have been reading. Where do you guys get all the information from? I have been following Us news and read Aruban newspapers online and have not read the stuff you posted about the newspaper saying that she is in Columbia etc...
Do you believe everything you read?

I just realized that I currently have the following in my van: assorted knives, screwdrivers. A mini-Hack Saw. Duct tape, electrical tape, speaker wire, bailing wire, Twine. McDonalds cups with dangerous substances. towels splattered in red rubbing compound. numerous metal objects in various stages of decay.

Granted that I'm just a girl & that I drive a wee little Subaru station wagon, but I always have the following in my car: Nylon twine, bailing wire, paper towels, roll of plastic garbage bags, shovel, wire cutters, stainless steel hose clamps, bungee cords, bungee cords with balls, latex gloves and probably a couple/ three other suspicious items that I've forgotten about. But no duct tape & that's only cause I hate the way the edges of the roll get sticky & because I figure at least 50% of the other cars rolling down the highway do come equipped with duct tape...

You post about your van contents amused me and reminded me that one time, I cannot remember the time, we were talking on Fr I believe and an issue like this came up. What would the cops think if they had a raid on our den. People looked around and had a surprisingly number of "suspicious" objects lying around. I myself had a huge butcher knife on my table next to my chair for some odd reason.

People interrupted in their everyday life often look suspicious.

Thanks for formatting that. It is dated the 5th. They were arrested the 9th. LE said on the 6th that there was ging to be developments or something, which I think was the arrests.

These guys were talked to, then let go and under surveillance. Must not have been a hidden type of surveillance since the author seemed to know in advance that he and his friends were in deep.

Just so I don't forget. On June 7th the two security guards were 'formally charged with murder, homicide and kidnapping leading to homicide'. Meanwhile, they have since been released and the 3 guys now sitting prison have yet to be charged with anything. I guess 'cowboy like behavior' is ok when you use it againt the locals or the 'lesser classes'.

Ok, back to this 'letter'. It sounds like damage control and there are various segments that I do not buy into. He has Natalee leaving CnC with Sloot, and Satish. He says he turned and they were already gone. While her friends have Natalee leaving/walking out, with them, and that she had fully planned to walk straight back to the hotel.

He says that Natalee was VERY drunk. Her friends say she was NOT drunk.

It is dark. It is 1:30 am yet Natalee supposedly says 'she wanted to see sharks'. Yeah right.

Has to be asked. Who is lying? The boys? Her friends? Was Natalee VERY drunk, or wasn't she? Did they go to see the sharks? Did she fall in? If so, why wouldn't the boys go immediately for help? Something just isn't right. In fact he doesn't even mention them getting out of the car to look at the sharks.

Something else he fails to mention is leaving Natalee at the beach where she falls asleep and which has become their latest story. The whole thing seems to be a means of floating abunch of excuses out there ;just in case'. jmo

AM Digital had a story on the decapitated man. I posted it yesterday somewhere on this thread. Here's how they spelled his name:

Rene van Heyningen

someone pointed out in a post way upthread that liars often include a nugget of truth in their lies.

What struck me was his saying Nat wanted to see sharks. This is unbelievable for a girl to say in the middle of the night {unless she had been given a drug of some kind}. so his mentioning it chilled me,,was he preparing to be able to explain if a bit of bones or clothing was found in the area where the sharks are fed? Or is he confessing, albeit it not directlly, that the sharks got her. Either by accident or by design.

I don't think she is alive. And I think her mother knows it. And is being fueled by some kind of adrenalin that fuels people between loss of someone they love and the funeral. Nat's Mother has my deepest sympathy at this point. I hope I am wrong.

Thought of a couple more things. First the author of the letter, Deepak, claims that Sloot's dad is a judge. We all know that is not true. Second, Natalee was a responsible, and good student. I find it hard to believe that she would encourage another student who also supposedly has good grades to stay out late when they already told her that they had school in the morning. Just me, but I think she would have encouraged them to study and wished them good luck and said good bye.
