He knew he was going to get arrested. He knew he was going to get fined or jailed, or both. But good street theatre. I'm in on principle. FReepmail me if you're collecting.

Oh yes, such a horrid criminal. Trying to give water to a woman dying of thirst. Better to spend time and money convicting this guy than on child molesters or murderers.

The water via mouth would have choked her to death and he would be up on manslaughter charges.Depends on how it was given to her. Terri was swallowing her own saliva. She could have handled an eye dropper full at a time.

I guess to some, death by a stupid but compassionate act is far more acceptable than a person who states a desire not to have their life prolonged by artificial means.Choking to death would have been far more merciful than dehydrating/starving her to death.

FReepmail me if you're collecting. I don't mind collecting, especially if we can do it through PayPal. Let's see if we can get at least 20 people to agree and then I'll start an actual collection.
Anyone want to ping the prolife or Terri lists? All we need is 30 people good for $20 to raise the $600 this good man was fined (obviously smaller amounts would work too, but I'd like to wait until we have 20 people on board before embarking we're at 7 counting me.)

The water via mouth would have choked her to death and he would be up on manslaughter charges. Sure. You can tell that after the fact from an autopsy report after the victim went through weeks of dehydration. I'm sure that the autopsy report also explains how she swallowed her own saliva and did not drool. You mean it doesn't? Well, how about that...

The water via mouth would have choked her to death and he would be up on manslaughter charges. ... and people would be blaming it on Judge Greer somehow, or claiming that Mr. Schiavo had put him up to it.

With all the laws the widower Michael Schiavo has broken I'm curious as to whether you could name a couple. Citations to the Florida or United States statutes would help.
To: ElkGroveDan
I've got a $20.00 spot for this man.

What? Nevermind. giving her water orally would have drowned her. She did not have the ability to intake food and water, hence the feeding tube.

Even patients unable to swallow without choking can usually tolerate a wet cloth in their mouth.

This would not do nearly enough to rehydrate her.

Alright everyone we need to call it quits. My bad. This kind of thing is against FR rules. Henceforth, email me at elkgrovedan@yahoo.com about this.
No more such discussion on this thread please.
