Yes, I keep thinking of the email that JvdS wrote to the 2 brothers that morning, if that was an accurate report. He said he had something to tell them, didn't he?
Did something go wrong that night with the date-rape drug? She was only supposed to pass out for a while, but maybe she went into a coma?
Maybe she's still barely conscious in some hut somewhere and they're afraid to release her now?
I can't imagine she's able to get to a phone or communicate and has put her parents through all this. And I know she would be aware that everyone would be looking for her.
Yeah, but you can't just rush into that situation like a bunch of cowboys.
They use "cowboy" as a derrogatory term?
If the corrupt authorities down there make enough people BELIEVE that Natalee has been abducted or ran away, the boys will walk out of jail. No body, no murder, no crime.
That's where they are going with this. I so want to be wrong..

Being under the influence of alcohol, maybe she fell (off a boat, down steps, off a cliff, etc.) wherever the party was held. There was some comment on here about Crowes checking a medical book website. Maybe they tried to help her, but were not successful.
Perhaps all who attended that party made a pact to keep quiet. Now someone is cracking and giving info. slowly. Sounds like some rich kids hanging out with sleeze for their "walk on the wild side" kinda thing.
I hope, whatever happened, there was no forced sex, no abuse. I also hope that one scenario mentioned about a runaway bride type situation is not true. It could be, if Natalee fell in love, did not want to leave, had issues about her future, etc. and just wanted to disappear. But that seems very unlikely. However who knows nowadays.
It is obvious there are a bunch of people who know what happened and I think the govt./police are keeping quiet about what is known until they get everyone rounded up and talk to all of them.
Wouldn't that be something, Guen? I'd even buy the book!
Well, if it is some international human sex-slave trade cartell, then it probably makes sense to go a little more methodically. I mean, it sounds like a big insult to me too, but maybe there is more behind it than we could possibly imagine . . . Given all of the possibilities, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until all the information comes to light.
Same here.
Every day, hubby asks me what's the latest in Aruba?
Day after day, I've told him this thing went South days ago and things aren't looking up.
Funnily enough, Bill O'Reilly said much the same last night.
I know all about "corrupt authorities"
where the Dutch are involved.
THe "something bad happened" struck me from the beginning. An accidental death, throwing up and aspirating, falling, whatever. But that phrase made me think she was dead.
I just wonder who they are gaining information from regarding the additional arrests and questioning. If he e-mailed the brothers and said he had something to tell them, I'm wondering if he did. Has it been reported anywhere what he did the day after she went missing?
Judge Napolitano was discussing Arubian law with John Gibson earlier saying that if she is dead, not finding a body will be difficult to prosecute in that country. Apparently it's never been done. The Mother country, the Netherlands reportedly has tried one case like that.
That's been my thinking, and it has only wavered when Giraldo..(cough, cough) & others were so sure she was 'done in' by the Dutch boy...Joran.
But I keep coming back to the 'sold as sex slave' thought....
..but how could anyone who needed American money/tourism be crazy enough to pull this on an American?????
Wouldn't they consider the eyes of the nation would focus on little Aruba...????
Least we know who he called now.
I think the height of my outrage was when they were willing to pin the crime on the two poor decent black men, but gave the rich white kids every break they could. And still, in spite of all of this, the Black Mother says she doesn't think it was "racist".
Yeah..right.

Yes, I remember that comment too, from one of the brothers.

There is a lot of speculation over on SM that there is an insider in their forum. They said someone was quoted early on as saying that there were some high ranking people involved and there would basically be a day of reckoning. This leads me to believe this was premeditated. It would also explain why the boys are so quiet- fear. This also points to a much larger conspiracy and points more toward an organized ring than accidental death or even murder.
Please see the attached link and browse through pages 40-50.

You could be right. It's been said he does alot of gambling, which is another possible reason for selling her.
Does that seem late for getting help? What did he do for 5 hours?

Fox Reporter Says Natalee Story "Most Difficult" He's Covered

Fox News reporter Rick Leventhal has written on the Fox Fan Central blog that covering the Natalee Holloway story in Aruba has been "one of the most difficult, intense, and confounding stories I've covered." Leventhal scored government officials who had been leaking official word of confessions and "confirmed grave sites," then quickly retracting them after they're reported. Leventhal pointed out that CNN has been hoodwinked by officials just as he had been, pointing out that the rival network earlier this week reported that Natalee's death had been confirmed and that there had been a confession. The prime minister later announced that there had been no confession and no recovery of a body. The following day, Leventhal said, a Fox News producer received word from a spokesman for the minister of justice that Natalee was "confirmed dead." He said he went on the air with the news. "While we didn't have a second source, he was a government official and was willing to be quoted. ... Within an hour, he was on the phone, saying he'd been a victim of a 'campaign of misinformation, ' and what he told us wasn't official after all." Concluded Leventhal: "Police and officials don't talk here like they do in the States."
