That post was all very fascinating, I'm sure, but it did nothing to address my basic point that your rationalization of Bosnian Muslim behavior in that earlier post was extremely similar to the rationalization of Palestinian behavior that's been bandied about. You were heavily implying that their provocation of Serb shelling of UN positions was, in and of itself, evidence that they were doing it for the right reason. That's the only point I was making.

I never paid close attention to the Balkan's conflict, other than thinking that we should step back and see how things shook out."We'll kick their a$$ and then we'll see how it goes....."

Not that I'm taking a position one way or the other on how well-armed they were compared to the Serbs, but why would you conclude that their provocation of mortar fire on UN positions was itself evidence of an imbalance of forces? Any belligerent in war has an incentive to get as much of an advantage as he can, however he can. And since you've acknowledged that the press was already biased against the Serbs, the Muslims would have known that provoking Serb fire against the UN would have worked to their advantage, regardless of what the balance of forces was between them and the Serbs.

Think Izetbegovic's 1970 declaration is evidence of his "plan for Bosnia?" Bosnia's "Islamic fanatic" president made no effort to enact sharia law How about his Nazi past in the 40s? how about his book in the 80s? His Sharia marriage in the 90s?
From the NYTimes: Alija Izetbegovic, Muslim Who Led Bosnia, Dies at 78 (was Nazi, al-Qaeda and Shariah polygamist)
During World War II, when Bosnia became part of the puppet-Nazi state of the Croatian Ustashe, Mr. Izetbegovic joined the Young Muslims, a group torn between siding with the German-sponsored Handzar divisions organized by the German SS or with the Yugoslav Communist partisans led by Josip Broz Tito. Mr. Izetbegovic supported the Handzars.
He is survived by his first wife, Halida, who lives in Turkey; a son, Bakir; two daughters, Leila Aksami and Sabina; his second wife, Melika; and his third wife, Amira, whom he married in 1993 under Shariah, the Islamic code of law. In February 1995, the newspaper Slobodna Bosna published congratulations to him on his fourth marriage, without naming the woman.
His major work, "Islam between East and West," published in 1980, was, by the author's definition, "not a book of theology" but an attempt to define the "place of Islam in the general spectrum of ideas." The book argues that "Islam is more than a religion."

And yet this Jihadist president called on the Serb-dominted JNA to help against Arkan and company. But he wasn't asking for the JNA to take over. That would have defeated the whole purpose of seceding from Yugoslavia.

This article is very misleading. Milosevic is not accused of genocide but rather of several "crimes against humanity." The term genocide does not appear in the indictment.

Misleading? What else is new about the UN court?

You ought to see someone about that reading comprehension problem.

Maybe you do:
The UN war-crimes tribunal dismissed Wednesday a mid-trial motion to acquit Slobodan Milosevic on genocide charges, handing the former Yugoslav president a setback three weeks before he was to begin his defence. Three independent lawyers appointed by the court to ensure fairness had argued that the prosecution failed to provide sufficient evidence to support the genocide charges and asked that they be dismissed. Mr. Milosevic is representing himself.
The tribunal released its decision one day before it reconvenes for a procedural hearing. The trial, which has been repeatedly interrupted because of Mr. Milosevic's poor health since it began in February, 2002, has been in recess since February at the close of the prosecution case.
While the court said the genocide charges would stand, it agreed to remove several specific allegations of genocide as unsupported by the prosecution case. The charges arise from the war Croatia and Bosnia in the early 1990s. None of the allegations regarding the 1999 war in Kosovo were dismissed.
The genocide charges focus on the massacre of an estimated 7,500 Muslims in the Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica in July, 1995.
