This guy is one of the idiot "Free Staters." I don't think the report was very accurate.

Excuse me, but does anyone else discern that the libertarians are getting nuttier than a fruitcake?

If you look at my profile, (such as it is) the 2nd line says;
"Sympathetic to Libertarians but feel they need direction"...

I have the same problem with the LP....
They are more their own enemy than anyone else is..
( Of course, it's always possible he's a Liberal Dem masquerading as a Libertarian to discredit the party..)
Nahhh...
He was a Libertarian..

Idiots like this guy give us normal libertarians a bad name. We are not all moonbats.

Too many Libertarians suffer from an inability to pick their battles. This man could have made a timely point by protesting many different issues. Airport security in a time of war is not one of them.

Hey, enjoy that sales and income tax in any one of 49 or 48 other states that you move to, respectively. The reason all the Massholes are moving here is because our property taxes are still less than theirs on average, plus we don't have the other taxes that I mentioned.

Yeah, the vehicle registration costs suck, but that's the price you pay for being the only state where you aren't required to purchase car insurance or wear a seatbelt. I'll make that up in a week with all the money that I don't have to spend at cash registers via the sales tax.
Plus, I paid more in Georgia for it when I lived there.

If only you were a freestater or a commuter...

Start it in your own...

Really nice. Now show this to your Mommy, good boy, she will be so proud! Or run over to DU, you will find many folks of your ilk. I love that ilk, don't you? Really, try DU.

I think there are more than a few Republicans who agree with me. Remember, Libertarians are the ones who want prostitution and legalized drugs. That doesn't sound too conservative to me.

As for my mommy, I'd think that you were her if you actually gave a sh*t about my language.

I'm not your mother, the poor soul, I only mention that public swearing is declasse and furthermore detracts from your argument. Move it over to DU where is it accepted as the norm.

I personally know of individuals that *DID* fly without 'proper ID' before '11 September'. They were/are not a danger to society, just felt that the 'mandatory ID' laws were already too onerous. All that ceased after the Twin Towers attack. Did they become somehow more dangerous because of that incident? No, some idiot simply decided that it would be a good idea to demand it. Never mind that the hijackers had 'proper ID'. Like the anti-gun whackos, it is just a feel-good ploy to placate people by increasing the power of the government by playing on our emotions.

Incidentally, 'proper ID' also consists of two individuals who will swear that they have personal knowledge of who you are, and that you are indeed who you say you are.

Also, did you know that Public Notary's (Government-approved-document-and-'ID'-generators) are required to perform their duties for individuals without any other form of 'ID' other than their personal knowledge of them? Makes you kind of wonder about that little discrepancy in the Mandatory-ID-Is-Splendid chest thumper's rhetoric -for those of you that can still think for yourselves. Makes Me glad Claire Wolfe is no longer lurking or posting here.

My annual property tax on my home in Tennessee was about $560.
My property tax on a similar home here in NH would be roughly $3800. Although there is a sales tax in TN, there is no income tax. It cost me $24 to register my car for a year in Tennessee; $500 here in NH, where they just raised inspection "fees" to $43...no inspection in TN. Roughly $175 to heat my home over a TN winter, nearly $1200 to heat my dwelling in NH.
With Democrats making serious inroads into NH (the M*ssholes you reference), seat belt laws and higher taxes are coming...hang in there. :-)

Okay, so you must visit them regularly. Hmmm...

Personal attacks are alot more "declasse" than swearing. Especially against somebody's mother. Besides that, she'd probably kick your ass.

For somebody who isn't a Democrat you sure do get offended like one!

Never (taxes). At least not in my lifetime. Remember "the pledge"?

The seat belt laws might be inevitable due to the driving habits of our southern neighbors.

Property taxes and everything in general costs more in the Northeast corridor, but NH doesn't have alot of the costs that other states in our vicinity have.

I lived in the Dirty South for 5 years and you can have it.

I assume by 'southern neighbors', you are referring to M*ssholechusetts and Rhode Island; recently ranked as the #1 and #2 worst drivers in the nation (although I listed them backwards, RI was #1). I spend a lot of time on the road, and whole-heartedly agree...those idiots should have their cars confiscated.

Dirty South? I concur with regards to the amount of trash on the side of any road that wasn't an Interstate.

Bingo with regards to the Massholes and Rude Islanders.

As for the Dirty South it's a civil war expression that has seen a resurrection in recent years due to gangsta rap. I was in the Army so I know about that stuff.

Rude Islanders...LOL! I've used "Massh*les" for years, but have never heard of that one.

Just my opinion but we have waaaay too many "laws" on the books and a whole bunch of mediocre people enforcing them.

Just think - prior to 1967 there was NO Federal law regulating the sale of guns. Makes me wonder how we survived.

Agreed. One of the things I find so amusing about the 'proper ID' mantra-chanters is that they literally have no idea what they are talking about. I always ask them if they are or have ever been married, and if they are aware of the two Witnesses part of the ceremony. Long before 'everyone' had a D.L. (another topic for another day) it was common knowledge about the requirement for the two-witness necessity for 'ID'. We have forgotten so much and allowed so many freedoms to slip through our fingers in the intervening years (not I).

Sorry it took so long to reply.

I agree totally, and I really am puzzled as to their utter lack of a coherent policy when some of their ideals are so attractive. (small gov)
