I just get tired of folks wanting to put troops at the border to shoot the illegals when they are being hired because our employment laws are not being enforced any better than our borders are being policed.
I hired a lot of people for three different mines. Among them were thousands of Mexican Americans. I am confident I did not hire more than a half dozen illegals. Those were by their successful deception. I would have loved the method of determining legality described in this article. Before that, I worked in the mines. The illegals I worked with had, by the early seventies, become legal immigrants or citizens. In the 60's, the mine adopted the policy of only hiring citizens and legal immigrants. Once that decision was made, it worked very well because, the employment personnel were mostly Hispanic and hard to fool.
You make it sound like I am a communist for my beliefs?
"Employers shun service to weed out illegal hires "
What the heck does this newline mean???
Emploers don;t enlist in the military in order to prevent illegal alines from being hired???
Who writes this stuff?? Do they speak English??
lol Even though youve threatened to shoot me in another thread I wouldnt call you a communist. There are many people to blame for "illegal immigration". The ones, in my opinion, that are the most to blame are the "illegal immigrants".
In fact I have started to print a bunch of fliers with the reward information and a footnote about how employers of illegals tend to be the biggest tax cheats. As the old saying goes, "there is more then one way to skin a cat".
One solution - rewards for successful convictions of businesses hiring illegals; and another - zero tolerance for illegal immigrants (which means no education, life-saving hospitalizations only, proof of citizenship for any government program; and finally - no instant citizenship for children born here of illegal immigrants.
Hit those three and you will stop the problem without militarizing the border...IMHO
