I think a lot more corporations will use the system once a border crossing terrorist takes a 10,000 or so of us out.
I am glad to hear this resource exists. But it sounds like there's hardly any disincentive for businesses to hire illegals. I hope the populations of illegal-saturated states realize the enormous tax burden such companies are passing on to them.
No amount of cursing the illegals will do any good as long as this is the case. As long as we continue to encourage illegal immigration by freely handing out jobs to those who run the gauntlet at the border, I cannot morally condemn those who come here to work.
Until the employer problem is solved by fine or criminalization, the drug runners and terrorists will be able to camouflage themselves with the job seekers in the rush over our borders.
Finally, I would be hypocritical if I condemned a desperate person from seeking work here when employers welcome them with encouragement and open arms.

Well your compassion is admirable for the illegals. Now where is your anger at the Messico Government that uses the money these people send home (billions) to prop up their shame Gov. BTW, that money would be circulating in the U.S economy, if this ILLEGAL activity were ended.
Ronald Reagan was the FIRST to institute this program. He forsaw the horror this was going to cause. Plus RR knew exactly WHO was the source of the problem.
Stopping illegl hires would not be difficult. In fact it would just take some tweaks here and there, for example changing laws to make employers authenticate documents instead of just looking at them (as the article illustrates).
However that will not happen. And let me tell you why.
Both the government (BOTH parties), as well as corporations, do not want to be rid of it. They simply do not want to. And that is the bottom line. Flame away if you want, but the govt is as much an enabler as the Mexican 'Coyotes' that help illegals stream across the border. Like most problems it is not an external issue .....it is an internal one. And ranting and raving about Mexicans will be to no avail if both government and corporations do not want to let go of the illegals. It is actuallu quite hilarious ....in a terribly ironic manner. Twisted mirth, spiced with generous helpings of irony and gobs of unabated sarcasm.

Oh, and by the way. Love them or not, the MinuteMen would have far better spent their time in Washington DC protesting than trying to show the border can be effectively shut down. The authorities know the border can be shut down, and they can if they wanted to. They do not. And at the end of the day it is really that simple. Rudimentary and elementary. Exceedingly simple.
In the 80's it was the law to provide valid proof that ALL employees were citizens or legally eligible to work in the U.S. I ran stores and had to provide the paper work to the Immigration officials that would randomly visit companies. I wouldn't hire an illegal so I didn't have a problem with it. Ronald Reagan did his part. American business are the co-criminals here. STOP HIRING ILLEGAL. I am all for a Nationwide outting of companies that give jobs to illegals rather than an American with a family to feed.Yes it's simple. FINE or Shut the doors on businesses that break the law.
